Happy Wednesday, crafty friends!! I hope you’re having a great week!! Brenda here with a pair of stenciled Santa Christmas cards to share with you today!!
My first card features the Peeking Santa Layering Stencil Set…
I began by stenciling the Peeking Santa Layering Stencils onto a panel of white cardstock using the following colors of ink:
- Stencil #1: Soft Garnet, Warm Hazelnut, Peach Blossom (Peach Blossom was layered over the Warm Hazelnut to create Santa’s skintone.) I also added Soft Garnet to Santa’s rosy cheeks.
- Stencil #2: Lipstick Red, Found Topaz, Peach Blossom (The Peach Blossom was layered over the Found Topaz to warm up the complexion.)
- Stencil #3: Crystal Pewter, Noir
- Stencil #4: Smoky Quartz
- Stencil #5: Azurite, Grape Crush
The panel was die-cut with the largest die in the Rectangle A2 Nested Die Set.
The sentiment, from the Ribbons: Holiday Stamp Set, was stamped with Red Sangria and Lipstick Red inks. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and trimmed into a narrow banner. They were both popped up with foam tape. I added a trio of Deep Blue Opaque Gems to finish it off.
My second card features the Postage Santa Layering Stencils and the Postage Party Die Set…can you tell that I LOVE this die?!?
I began by die-cutting the Postage Party Die from white cardstock. The Postage Santa Layering Stencils were stenciled onto the panel, following instructions in the package. I used the following inks:
- Stencil #1: Cali Blue, Soft Garnet, Warm Hazelnut, Peach Blossom (complexion was created the same as the first card)
- Stencil #2: Cobalt Breeze, Lipstick Red, Found Topaz, Peach Blossom
- Stencil #3: Aspen Cocoa, Azurite, Grape Crush
- Stencil #4: Deep Sapphire, Smoky Quartz
- Stencil #5: Smoky Quartz, Noir
The die-cut was adhered to a panel of red cardstock that was die-cut with the second largest die in the Rectangle A2 Nested Die Set and a dark blue panel that was die-cut with the largest die in the Double Stitched Rectangle A2 Nested Die Set.
This sentiment is from the Easy Expressions: Holiday Stamp Set. It was stamped with Lipstick Red and Noir inks, die-cut with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. I added “snow” with a white gel pen and a sprinkling of Deep Blue Opaque Gems to finish this one off.
The does it for me today!! Thanks for stopping by!! I hope this inspires you to get to work on those Christmas cards!!
