Fold Back Card

Today is my first post as a new member of the
Back To Basics and Beyond Challenge Design Team.
I look forward to working with this lovely
group of ladies and getting to know them better.
I love this new challenge blog as it not only
has some really fun challenges but allows me
to use some of my ever growing 'stash' as long as I follow the themes!

Today I have a 'fold back' card.
I wasn't totally sure what one was so I looked on Pinterest
and found many different versions,
this one seeming the 'real thing' (to me anyhow)..

This was a fun and quick card and I used some of my
new and hoarded paper from the Mintay Celebrations paper pad.

Here is a view of the inside.
I stamped my sentiment, then die cut a few butterflies.
For the flowers, I used a SU stamp set Flower Fancy
and added SNS Waterfall glitter to the centers.

I hope you will check out this new and fun blog challenge
at
Back To Basics and Beyond
and join in with us too!

Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

29541159_10216244462694822_8004581139974979584_n

Well here I am, late to the party again!!
I have wanted to join in the
Coffee Lover's blog hop  (tea too)for the last few years
and never seem to have the time so was determined to join in this year.
But, as usual life has gotten in the way once again.

I did manage to get one card done before it ends.
When I made the 12 one page cards last week
and pulled out a few already cut die cuts,
I came across this tea pot I had cut from my Cricut.
I set it aside and today decided to at least make one card for this hop!

The little flower spray is from Sparkle N Sprinkle Easter Chicky set.
I had an extra spray left from a SNS DT card I did and it fit
perfectly on my teapot!
The center of the flowers have Nuvo Crystal Drops Dandelion Yellow in each.

It's pretty CAS and the teapot itself opens up with the sentiment.

If you haven't visited the coffee lover's blog hop yet,
please do as there are over 700 entries so far and it's so fun to see
all the creations made for this hop, and prizes, too!

Wedding Canopy

These are my cards featured on the
Tutti Designs blog today.

Today I am featuring the Wedding Canopy die
with three different card versions.

First up is a card that IRL is very elegant in black, white and gray.
The perfect designer paper for the back drop, a few sparkle-y gems added and of course
the Wedding Canopy die.
I die cut the couple in black and white and stacked them for a shadow effect.

The second card is elegant as well and very 'shimmery'.
The couple were cut twice and stacked, leaving a small shadow behind,
same as above but this time I reversed the order..
I also used the Nesting Stitched Oval die to pop up
the couple on.

Third card is a bit more colorful.
A soft blue cloudy background, die cut in Ivory,
a pretty bow and a few flowers.

Grateful Heart

This is my card featured on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today
using the new.
Cardinal and Holly stamp set.

This was a fun card to make basically using the new Cardinal and Holly
and a few die cuts.

I started by using my score board and scoring random lines across.
I was trying to achieve the look of siding on a house.
Then I sponged on Embellishment Mousse Spring Green for color.

Next I die cut a few  Cherry Lynn Designs Holly Flourish
then coated with glue using Glue Pen Large then sprinkling with  Lator Gator glitter.
I set those aside to dry, then stamped my image with Versamark and
embossing with Black Fine Detail embossing paste.
I then used Copics to color in the image.
Once that was done I fussy cut it out.

I die cut a window and shutters using
Poppystamps Small Madison Window and Small Madison Window Shutter dies.
The window and shutters were adhered to my 'house' panel
using Tear-ific Tape ½”.
Using a small heart punch, I added them to the shutters with
Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Once again using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive,
I added the holly flourishes.
Using Versamark again, I stamped the sentiment, then embossed with
Candy Cane embossing powder.
To finish, Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss Red Berry
were added to each berry in the image

Make sure to leave a comment both here and on my post on the SNS Blog for a chance to go shopping at Sparkle N Sprinkle.  No one knows who the Mystery Designer is this month (and it might just be me).  There will be new projects on the SNS Blog every day for your inspiration and for increasing your chances of winning.  Good luck!

Thank you for visiting with me today!!

One Sheet Wonder

The challenge at the NEW
Back To The Basics and Beyond Challenge
this week is 'Use Your Paper~One Sheet Cards.
Meaning to use a 12 x 12 paper and see how many cards you can
create with it.

A friend recently gave me a bit of her stamping supplies
and in it was a beautiful pack (one of my favorites)
of a SU designer paper.
So, instead of putting it away I used one sheet for my cards....
all TWELVE of them.

The card on the left, I added Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive, just dots of it random
then sprinkled with SNS Waterfall glitter, this is a beautiful teal glitter, a favorite of mine.
I did the same thing for the card on the right, but this time using SNS Blue Haze glitter.

I used the backside of the DS paper for a few of them,
card stocks that were already cut and scored,
and a variety of other things (die cuts, ephemera, and others)
that were already die cut, keeping it simple ,
I basically had to just stamp the sentiments.

I looked on Pinterest and saw many, many  ways to
cut your paper,
but in the end went with a simple cut.
These cards took about 2 hours to complete
though I still have the insides to finish up.
The hardest and most timely part was photographing them!
MY photo spot, a light bulb burned out and it seem sin replacing with a new one,
it has changed the lighting entirely
making it difficult to photograph...I will have to figure
it out as I am not getting the same quality pictures I had.

A little bit of FUN news about this NEW challenge
is that I will be joining them as part of the design team,
debuting on May 30th.
I am looking forward to working with this awesome group of ladies!!
And here I was thinking of cutting back on my design teams...
but this just appealed to me as a very fun challenge group!
I liked the fact that it is actually very challenged themed.

For A Dear Friend

Time for a new challenge at
The Sisterhood of Crafters and it is being hosted by
our lovely 'sistah' Marsha!

In honor of Veterans she has chosen 'POPPIES' for our theme.
I think it is a fabulous challenge theme!

I have a few poppy stamps and/or dies to choose from.
But in the end I went with this smaller, delicate version of the poppy.
It was colored in with Copics after stamping on a white die cut doily.

The background paper is from an old paper pad from 2009...
yikes, that is 9 years old, about time I used some of it don't you think??

The sentiment is from the same stamp set, supplies listed below.

Here a few of my own garden poppies from a previous year

The normal 'orange' poppy.

A special ordered red poppy I ordered about 20 years ago.

A true treasure, a PINK poppy!

A garden full of poppies, see the bench, I think I have to toss it this year...sigh!

These poppies were from seeds from my friend Lana in Canada...DOUBLES...almost look like carnations and have a bright lime green center.

We would love to have you join our "POPPIES' challenge at
The Sisterhood and visit to see what the design team has to inspire you!

Wedding Bouquets

This is my post featuring these cards on the
Tutti Designs Blog today.

Hello, Diane here today with different versions using the
With all the June weddings coming up it is never to soon
to order those wedding dies!

First is a wedding tag, perfect for the wedding gift or shower gift.
Very simple to make using not only the Wedding Bouquet die,
but the Nesting Stitched Tags as well!

The second is a card  using not only the Wedding Bouquet die,
but the Nesting Stitched Hearts die as well.
The bouquet is cut from a pretty shimmering pink card stock,
I added a spray of stars at the side.

The third card is pretty basic.
Designer paper and the Wedding Bouquet die cut from a shimmery white card stock
and popped up on a Nesting Stitched Circle die.
Tiny matching flowers were randomly added.

Thank you for visiting with me today!
Make sure and stop back next Tuesday for more 'wedding' cards.
Stop back EVERY day for beautiful inspiration from the team
using more of the fabulous Tutti Designs dies.

The Big Apple

Howdy All!!
I should of had this posted yesterday
but it was a rough weekend for us here at the Hover household...
or maybe I should say a sad weekend.
I won't go into all the details but it sure put a stop to what I had planned.

Anyhow, I do have a fun card to share today...finally.
As you all know the Design Team from The Cutting Cafe
gets together on the 7th and 21st of each month to show and share
all our projects for that day, (which happens to be the 21st today)
all in one place on TCC blog.

We were to use any cut file of our choice but the 'twist' was to use fabric.
My original idea was to make a banner
but obviously that didn't happen.

I do however LOVE what I did put together and it came together very easily!

I used the Apple Shaped card file
and the PDF version for it instead of my Cricut SVG file....
it was all hand cut and EASY!!

I first printed the top apple on card stock for a pattern,
cut it out, then I cut a piece of fabric slightly bigger then the apple,
I used Elmers Craft Bond Spray Glue
(and a spray box)
and sprayed the card stock apple
and quickly adhered my fabric (it dries fast)!
Then simply cut around it.

The leaves were cut from felt, and I added a rick rack bow and button to finish.

Make sure to pop on over later this afternoon at TCC  BLOG to see all
the projects from the team, there are some fabulous ideas there.

A Pocket Full of Posies

This is my card for the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog post today
using the new stamp set  Pocket Full of Posies.

I first die cut the  Balustrade in Bloom die set in  (2 difference dies) white card stock and using
 Super Adhesive Sheets.
I peeled off the cover paper, exposing the adhesive
and added it to the back of the die cut.

I then added  Tangerine glitter, rubbing it in with my finger.
Using the awesome Glitter Brush , all the excess glitter was brushed off
and put back in the bottle.

Using an embossing folder, I embossed a white panel
and adhered it to an orange card stock with Tear-ific Tape ½
only to the sides and bottom, leaving the top open for a 'pocket.

The Pocket Full of Posies  stamp was stamped once on white card stock
and then once again (just the pocket portion) on a gingham paper.
I used Copics to color in and added  Glitter Drops Yellow Bird to the flower centers.
I then adhered it all together with Tear-ificTape ½.

On the leaves I added Glitter Markers Morning Moss.
Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss was also added around the pocket edges and stamped detail.
A tiny button was added to the pocket.

I stamped a sentiment from the same Pocket Full of Posies set
using one of the new Hybrid inks from the set Diamond Hybrid Ink Tropical Fruits.
Then added a small ribbon pull tab and the die cut sentiment to a seed packer top.
I nice little 'gift' for the recipient of this card!

Here is once again the final result!
