Hiro Madoka ( (まどか) () () Madoka Hiro?) is one of the 5 major antagonists who tormented Shun Uruma and is Shun's 3rd victim.

Appearance[]

Madoka Hiro is a teenager of average height and has a slim build. He has slightly long orange hair, with faded sides. He usually slicks his hair back.

Personality[]

Out of the five, Madoka is the most twisted and deranged, bordering on insanity. He is a religious fanatic who worships Kyou Shigoku as a God and follows their orders blindly, worshipping him even after he pushed him down a cliff onto an oncoming car, something that could've killed him. In his childhood, it's possible that he was a nicer kid but had problems making friends and fitting in. After becoming friends with Kyou, he became cruel and found joy in destroying what people loved, taking part in Uruma's bullying and the murder of his parents. It was noted by Uruma that he would "even lick shoes if it was to earn extra points". In the present, he is incredibly petty and vindictive, bullying a little kid for allegedly making fun of him and later on taking it out on a random student who looked just like them by making them drink detergent. He is also deeply perverted, assaulting Kaname and later on calling her "his woman," not showing any remorse for his actions. He is unrepentant of any of his past actions and shows sadistic joy in torturing others, as he noted that he should be the only one allowed to break humans. During his torture, he was desperate and repeatedly called out for Kyou to rescue him. When Kyou appeared in front of him in what looked like a rescue, only for them to continue the torture, Madoka was quick to turn on Kyou and curse him all the way to the end, not realizing that the "Kyou" he was looking at was merely a hallucination. In his final moments, he recalls his friendship with Kyou, where it's revealed that Kyou showed little interest in being his friend or cared about him in the first place. Madoka apparently knew this fact deep down but only deluded himself into believing that they were friends.

In spite of his ego, Hiro is also very cowardly as shown when he was screaming during his torture at the hands of Uruma.

Story[]

Lured out into a trap and knocked unconscious, Hiro wakes up to find himself tied to a table and his thumbs inside a mechanism. Uruma proceeds to utilize a torture called thumb crushing where he turns the screws of the device that slowly squeezes Hiro's fingers until his nails broke, causing him immense pain. Uruma walks away and Hiro mananges to escape, only for him to fall and realize that his big toes were cut off, inhibiting his ability to walk. Uruma returns and drags him onto his actual torture; a medieval rack. A simple wheel and pulley device that would tear his limbs apart. Uruma proceeds to use the device and partially tears the ligaments in Hiro's shoulders. Hiro begins to scream for Kyou repeatedly before Uruma splashes him in the face to silence him. Before Uruma can finish the job, he is knocked aside by Shigoku Kyou, who appears before Hiro in what looks like a rescue. However, Kyou proceeds to resume the execution much to Hiro's shock and anger. Kyou finishes the execution by tearing Hiro's arms where he bleeds out to death. After dying, it's revealed that Kyou was in reality Shun Uruma Senior, in a disguise, and that Hiro was under effects of hallucinogens that Uruma splashed on him.

In chapter 190, Madoka is referred to as "The Third Sinner". The chapter follows the beginning of Madoka's psychopathic intentions. Madoka used to need and draw attention from his mother, and play with a friend. Madoka and the friend were on a bridge and decided to fish there. Madoka's friend made use of playful banter through calling Madoka names. Madoka however, did not understand this concept and asked his mom why his friend did that. The following day, his friend would call him names again. Madoka, conflicted and trying to compose himself, shook the building emotions off. However, after meeting Shigoku Kyou, Madoka was convinced to make an end to the name calling. After another remark from his friend, Madoka had pushed that friend off the bridge, causing fear and slight wounds to the boy. Since this moment, Madoka felt superior, marking the beginning of his bad actions.
