"Cornered" is the fourth episode of the Disney+ animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch. It premiered on May 21, 2021.
Synopsis[]
The Batch's supply run goes awry.
Plot[]
On their way to a proposed hiding-place on Idaflor, the Bad Batch is forced to stop on the nearest planet, Pantora, so they can gather supplies and Tech can modify their ship's signature since it now appears on the Empire's wanted list. A landing bay attendant on Pantora identifies the Bad Batch and informs Fennec Shand, a mercenary who has been hired to retrieve Omega. Hunter, Echo, and Omega search for supplies while Tech and Wrecker work on the ship. Omega is approached by Shand, which leads to Hunter chasing Shand throughout the city. Hunter and Omega lose Shand, and after the modifications are completed the Bad Batch departs from Pantora.
Trivia[]
- The disc bomb Hunter had was a Pyro denton explosive. This bomb previously made an appearance in The Force Awakens where it was sphere shaped used by Han Solo and Chewbacca.
- Echo's supervisor droid disguise is similar to the TDA-series Command bridge droids in Star Wars Resistance.
- Echo gets help from a protocol droid named CG-67 (presume a TC-series or a 3PO-series protocol droid), along with a LE-series droid named Clink and two astromechs 225 and DK-3 (presumly an R2-series astromech).
- The Voorpak and LE-series droid from Star Wars Resistance also reappears.
- It is revealed that a starship's magnetic signature can be scramble thanks to a signature key. This is often used in various Star Wars media for stealth, as Hera Syndulla used it in Star Wars Rebels a few times.
