The Place de Fontenoy in Paris is home to UNESCO's Headquarters. Inaugurated on November 3, 1958, it is today the Organisation's main building.

UNESCO CAMPUS

Since 2014, UNESCO Campuses have been bringing together middle and high school students from around the world, two to three times a month during the school year, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris and online.

These events enable young people aged 13 to 18 to exchange views with UNESCO and civil society experts on major contemporary issues: freedom of expression, preservation of biodiversity, access to education...

Library & Archives

UNESCO’s Library and Archives reading room is a place for its staff, delegates and external researchers (upon registration) to carry out research and find reference sources. Readers have direct access to practically all archives and publications issued by UNESCO (or under its auspices), as well as a selection of scholarly titles devoted to the areas of UNESCO’s expertise. It is an ideal place to work in an intellectually stimulating environment.

UNESCO Book and Gift Shop is open from Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

Most of our products are also available on our online boutique UNESCO Shop. The goal is to make our goods available for everyone and everywhere in the world. We invite to you explore this shop, receive your order at your house or choose to pick it up at the boutique with click&collect

UNESCO has three catering areas: the Restaurant, the Bar du 7eme étage and the Bar des Conférences. These spaces are open to the public.

UNESCO does not offer parking facilities. We recommend using public transport.
