My Philosophy of Life - Live Your Life to the Fullest. Our life time is limited. We should
never waste it living someone else’s life. My philosophy of life has always been to live life to
the fullest. That means for whatever job I do, I will give my 100% commitment to
accomplish the tasks. This gives me self-satisfaction for giving my best to complete them, no
matter how good or bad the outcome turns out to be.
I always try to remind myself not to let the noise of others’ to influence my inner thoughts.
As Steve Job said “Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown your own inner voice. And
most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already
know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary”. I have so much interest
in achieving a lot in this life. I always want to follow my interests and doing what made me
feel good. The problems start when we listen too much to outside sources. We may think that
we’re doing it wrong. I went through one of these periods myself. Looking back, I see that
while it was a period of struggle, it also helped me go deeper into what worked for me.
Positive thinking helps us to be healthier, more productive and ultimately happier. Yet for
most of us it is hard to practice optimism on a regular basis. Optimistic thinkers tend to
anticipate the best outcome from every situation they face. I try my best to be optimistic and
think positively each and every day. No matter what challenges come on my way, I try to
look at the bright side since positivity is not only in our head, but it also boosts our physical
and mental health. Give what you can. This is another phrase that I include in my philosophy
of living life to the fullest. We do not have to be filthy rich to be able to contribute to others.
A simple gesture and manner of giving to those in need is a good practice that must be a way
of life. Being kind and generous leads us to perceive others more positively. I have
experienced attaining more happiness when giving to those in need rather than keeping it to
myself when I know that the other person needs it more than me. Ultimately, I did experience
receiving better and more benefits after lending help to those in need. So, either the art of
giving is practiced due to my own selfishness or selflessness, I still reap the benefits at the
end of the day.
In connect to teaching, My Philosophy in Education is making learning memorable. Students
often remember teachers who make kind or funny or brilliant, passionate. They remember
teachers who cared about them. They were remembering teachers who were supportive or
encouraging or saw something in them no one else did. They remember teachers who
challenged them and made them think. I believe my number one role, as an educator, is to
love my students. My hope is that each day in some way I would show all my kids that I love
them and believe in them. I feel it is so important to build a relationship with each child who
comes into my classroom and to earn their trust and respect. When a relationship has been
built between the students and me, they will soar academically. I believe in establishing a
good relationship, not only with the students, but also with their parents. Parent teacher
communication is key to the success of students. It is my goal to challenge my students daily,
with learning that is meaningful, engaging, and purposeful. I want to provide my students
opportunities to grow and become critical thinkers and problem solvers. In my
classroom, I provide my students with inquiry-based lessons and real-world situations so they
may learn to conquer issues at school and in their lives outside of school. I want to instill a
passion for learning inside each child. I believe students must actively participate in, and take
responsibility for, their learning. Just as I self-reflect as a teacher, I believe students need to
become self-reflective, so they can improve upon areas of difficulty and build upon areas of
strength. When my students, past or present, walk into my classroom, I want it to be a place
where they know they are loved, safe, and cared for. As a teacher, your heart becomes
involved as you get to celebrate the successes of life, but you also see the students who are
hungry, tired, and already burdened by life at just six years old. I want to be the best teacher I
can be for each student. I try to bring to the classroom all the skills and knowledge gained
during my past nine years in education and past experience, but I believe the greatest gift I
can give my students is to love and believe in them.
Finally, I believe a teacher lives to serve. A teacher is dedicated to learning, to his or her
discipline, to his or her students, and to making the future the best possible place for all of us
to live. These are the challenges I accepted when I chose to be a teacher. I remain committed
to them.
