Introduction
I'm an immigrant from China since 2011, I have been in Idaho for eight years. I attended
elementary school in Kuna Idaho. I then began my secondary education at Kuna High School. I
graduated through Kuna High School. While going to high school I also completed twenty-four
college credits. I plan on transferring to Boise State University in the future to finish with my
Education Background
Some education experience for me is when I’m in high school, my pathway is Education
Training in Elementary, which means that I have been working with children or elementary
students for three years as a Teachers Assistant. I had worked with Pre-K, first-grade, second
grade, and third grades. What I think teacher a is: the engineer of the human soul. This is also an
excellent improvement for my quality of cultivation. In this special industry of teachers, the
quality of their quality is not a simple personal problem, it directly affects a large number of
students. Each individual child is unique and fun to play with. It was a great experience for me to
enjoy working with children and observe how other teachers use their way to teach kids.
I need to teach and help the kids learn. In addition, I enjoy the process of knowledge transfer. I
feel that I can teach students the knowledge they don't understand or take them together to feel
an article, a sentence, or even a word, or the enlightenment that inspired them so that they can
feel the many around them. The feelings of discovery, or inspire them to learn how to express
their love for life. I feel that students are very meaningful to me.
to learn in a business that gives social interaction every day. I'm a hard worker and manage a lot
of things while working for Panda Express. I have learned how to cook, flip with a wok, and gain
better social skills. In Panda, I always followed the five steps of the guest services. Which
include: greeting, offering samples, up-sale, drink, donation and a thank you statement. I have
learned a lot and hope one day I can help my family open a restaurant. Being a part of Panda
Express has helped me understand the value of work and how important it is. How this connects
with my future jobs provides an opportunity to communicate with people outside of school.
I participated in many things throughout High School. One of the main things I’ve done was
by volunteering at Reed Elementary School. I have been assigned as teacher assistance to meet
the kids' and teachers' needs. I had worked with students who have behavioral issues that affect
learning in the mainstream classroom. While doing that I am giving out support to students in
class and helping the teacher’s out as best as I can. There are some duties I need to complete
while working: some are making copies for the class, helping prep lessons, and some backup
support. Also working with students that are getting ahead of the class one by one. If students are
struggling I engage by actively listening to the students to help them out. When the teachers are
gone, I give out support to the substitutes. By doing this volunteer service in school, I was able to
gain more confidence and gain more responsibilities. This opportunity challenged me to grow
and take on many experiences I never had. The students that I have worked with are inspired to
grow.
However, teaching is fun and must be patient with the students and see them succeed, is not
always as easy to help students solve their problem without telling them exactly how to do it. To
conclude my experience of being a teacher's assistant, it was fun to observe the student learn new
things. I now understand all the responsibilities teachers have just by volunteering throughout my
Pre-Calculus in my senior year was one of my greatest hardships. I had already been far
behind math, because the teacher didn’t do a good job of teaching the lesson. Every question was
followed with a confused look and headache. Not just me, about 70% of the class was confusing
too. When it came to grading time, I didn’t really like my math score. I believe in high school,
not just me, every other individual will have something to pull them behind, but we still try to
catch up. He informed us that we were allowed to ask for help but only during his office hours,
which I did. I scheduled the time to ask clarification on the questions that I’m confused with, but
I showed up and waited for him twenty minutes, and he finally showed up and turned to me. He
needed to go help his baseball team for practice. Here it applies with ethical relativism is moral
judgments across different people and cultures, teachers should not bring the dissatisfaction of
The reason is that those who have nothing to do with the students, is this ability to distinguish
between right and wrong. That is not how a successful teacher will be. In that situation it
destroyed my confidence. I felt as if I wasn’t smart compared to my peers and I went to his office
hours to try to ask for help. Egoism is “an ethical theory that treats self-interest as the foundation
of morality” (Oxford Dictionary), being a teacher must be sacrificed teaching, making money,
shaping the mind or the next generation and they don’t get that knowledge which they should. I
think a recommendation for this problem would be to prepare the students to be less reliable on
the teachers, and for the teachers to be available during more than office hours. Also taking the
time to see each student in person and reassuring them of their grades could help the students
become more organized and stay on top of their school work. Teachers should always be
available for their students, making them more approachable. This way, students will be more
comfortable and less discouraged when it comes to their grade compared to their classmates.
Students and teachers need to have a good relationship, This will help people feel more confident
in class, which will, in the end, help people succeed. Natural Law is “an observable law relating
to baited phenomena” (Oxford Dictionary). This also applies to natural law. In the process of
education and teaching, teachers will inevitably have “accidents”. Clever teachers can use their
rich experience to make them “surprise” with superb art. Poor teachers may make it to a disaster.
Education needs sincerity, teachers and students can not be without sincerity. Education should
be sincere, only teachers treat students in good faith, teachers can penetrate the hearts of
students. Then students' heartstrings will be touched. Sincerity is the bridge between teachers and
students.
I think I should be a teacher in K-12 because Elementary school teachers are involved with
the significant growth of our children. We need to give children love, so children feel secure to
explore; I want to teach children basic social skills and routines in the classroom, so they know
how to be a good group member. There are several things I believe are critical in the elementary
school classroom.
Skills I possess that would enable me to become an effective teacher include persistence,
comprehension, and sympathy. I am sympathetic and understanding towards kids and their
essential needs while I can be quiet with them and enable them to develop and reveal their own.
How I apply the skill is in my classroom, I will create a positive classroom culture for the teacher
and all the students to live. To get students to follow the routines, I will ask every student to
think about how they want to be treated in this classroom and what rules they think should put on
the wall for everybody to follow. With meaning and power. After students' inputs, the routines
are more collecting students' ideas, I will write most of them down and hang it up. It will be
much easier to apply with such a big reminder. As time passes by, we could adjust our culture
Skills I possess that would enable me to be in the education field but not as a teacher is
dealing with people, like active listening skills. I believe it is critical in an elementary school
classroom. The positive classroom culture for teachers and students to live, caring if students do
their work and whether they do it well or not, emphasizing a "mastery learning approach"
designed to ensure that all students achieve learning goals, applying progressive education in
Skills I have that are better suited for other careers are patience with others and active
listening skills. We can lean down and communicate with students, listen to their thoughts, and
create a good psychological environment for students to learn. Making students more natural and
more realistic, because students are individuals. Communicating with students is the source of
teachers' happiness. We can make students happy and get an education while communicating,
Professional Goals
I plan to begin my college career at the College of Western Idaho to earn my associate degree.
I will then transfer to Boise State University to earn a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education
with a minor in Chinese. Specifically, my life goal is to become a third-grade elementary teacher,
by going to college, I will achieve my goal. After College, I want to become a teacher in the
future working at the elementary school. It should usually take four years of college. I will
accomplish my goal within 4-5 years from now. This is a long term goal that I will work in the
future.
I want to be able to communicate confidently in the next six months. I will learn this by
having more interaction with classmates and instructors. This is a short term that helps me gain
experience with talking to others. How this shortened goal will help me progress toward my
long-term goal is that I’m being able to communicate with everyone using professional skill in
the future.
Generally speaking, there are numerous reasons concerning why I consider myself to be a
teacher. I accept all my experiences and goals and have a major impact on my career choices.
We need to give children love, so children feel secure to explore. I want to have an
indistinguishable impact on the children like my teachers had on me. I wouldn't be the individual
