Narrative Report
First Homeroom Parent-Teacher Meeting
September 14, 2023
For the school to function effectively for the learner’s welfare, it is important for both
teachers and parents/guardians to come together. This is well achieved by the Home Room
Parent-Teacher Association (HRPTA) in the school.
The HRPTA meeting for First Quarter was held last September 14, 2023. The meeting
began through the singing of the national anthem followed by an opening prayer. To figure out if
the attendees were complete, attendance was made by a roll call. For the teacher to give in the
attendees the clear outline of what will happen in the meeting, the agenda was mentioned.
The first agenda was about Kumustuhan. The class adviser mentioned the attendance of
the pupils and their performance in school and the teacher explains how the grades be computed
every subject.
The second agenda was the schedule of classes and safety precautions conducted at the
school such as the proper wearing of face shields and face masks inside the school.
Based on the DepEd Order No. 167 s. 2021 which stating the interim guidelines on giving of
awards and recognition in light of the basic education learning continuity plan, a grade-level award
that is given to learners from Grade 3 who have attained a general average of at least 90 and a
passing final grade in all learning areas. This award will cover the following categories: With
Highest Honors (May Pinakamataas na Karangalan), With High Honors (May Mataas na
Karangalan), and With Honors (May Karangalan), is the only award that shall be given. Awards
that are entail demonstrations in-person and collaborative performance possible only for face-to-
face learning are all suspended. Such awards include the following: Classroom Awards
(Performance Awards for Kindergarten, Conduct Awards, Recognition for Perfect Attendance);
Grade-Level Awards (Leadership Award, Award for Outstanding Performance in Specific
Disciplines, Award for Work Immersion, Award for Research or Innovation, Award of Club or
organization Achievement); and Special Recognition.
Pupil’s positive behavior towards learning is essential because it enable them to engage in
learning, make good academic progress and sustain good relationships with their teachers and
peers. Establishing the student’s learning behavior for learning would help them make smoother
transitions, employment and even their adult life. It is best that the parents/guardians also have
clear outline and guidance from teachers about their children’s work. Addition to that, the class

Meeting Minutes:
1. Kumustahan: The Teacher provided an overview of the Kumustahan practice, highlighting its
significance in establishing open communication between parents and teachers regarding the well-
being and performance of students both in school and at home.
2. Schedule of Class: Mr. Caspillan opened the floor for discussion regarding to the class schedule of
Grade 3 Class.
3. Grading System: The Adviser of Grade 3 class provided an overview of the current grading system,
including its components, weightage, and assessment criteria. The grading system was explained in
detail to ensure a common understanding among all participants.
5. Class Suspension: Mr. Caspillan provided an overview of the current situation, which prompted the
need for a discussion on class suspension. This included information on inclement weather,
emergencies, or any other relevant circumstances.

6. Election of HRPTA Officers: The parents nominated candidates for the positions of Homeroom PTA
Officers.
7. HRPTA Project: The Homeroom PTA Officers presented a list of proposed projects aimed at
enhancing the educational experience and well-being of students.
Participants engaged in a thorough discussion and evaluation of each proposed project. Key points
included:
Feasibility and practicality of each project.
Alignment with the school's mission and goals.
Potential impact on learner development and learning.
Estimated costs and resource requirements.
Opportunities for parent, teacher, and learner involvement.
8. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned by Teacher Dann Vinedick M. Caspillan with a reminder
to all attendees to prepare for upcoming parent-teacher general PTA meeting.
