Preposition is a word placed before a noun or pronoun to show


its relationship with other words in the sentence.

PREPOSITION OF PLACE

To refer to a place, use the preposition in, on, under, above,


beside, outside and inside.
Examples:
1. They will eat lunch in the dining room.
2. The bag is on the chair.
3. The ball is under the table.
4. The bird flew above the house.
5. Put the pots beside each other.
6. Put the apple outside the basket.
7. Place the book inside the bag.
