 What is Common Nouns?


Common Nouns are common names of persons, places, things, animals.
They start with a small letter (unless they begin a sentence). A common noun
starts with a small letter.

Example:

person – mother, police, nurse, teacher


animal – cat, horse, duck, cow
thing - pencil, paper, plate, doll
place – school, church, supermarket, park

 What is Proper Noun?


Proper Nouns are specific names of persons, places, things,
animals or events. They always start with a capital letter.
Example:
person – Luke, Bella, Daniel and Cathy
animal – Bantay, Birdie, Muning and Basty
thing – Devant, Honda, Nike and Oppo
place– Tanjay City, Pelagio Jabel Memorial School
 Show a video presentation about common nouns and proper nouns in
Mother Tongue.
