Content: Integrative Art as applied to Contemporary Art


Combination of Different Art Forms as seen in Modern times
Content Standard: The learner demonstrates appreciation of contemporary art forms, found
in the various regions by understanding the elements and principles.
Performance Standard: The learner is able to;

present a form of integrated contemporary art based on the region of


Caraga. (e.g. choreography, musical instrument, literary and music
composition, visual design, and/or theatrical performance)

Learning Competency: The learner:


1. Identifies various contemporary art forms and their practices from
the various regions.
2. Classifies various art forms found in the Philippines.
Specific Learning At the end of the lesson, the learners are able to:
Outcome(s):
Draw their own desired art based on what they have learned from the
discussions
Time Allotment: 2 weeks(8 meetings or 480 minutes)

1st meeting: June 5, 2016

LESSON OUTLINE:

I. Activity:

1. Introduction/ Preliminaries: The teacher welcomes the class and introduces herself
(specialization, background, credentials)(10 minutes)
2. Motivation: The teacher gives the following questions for the students to answer in ½ crosswise.
(10 minutes)
a. What age will you be 10 years from now?
i. How would you like to look like?
ii. What would you like to be doing?
iii. Where would you like to be working?

3. Analysis and Abstraction/Instruction Delivery:


The teacher will relate and/ integrate their answers to the purpose of SHS.

1. Introduction/ Preliminaries: Prayer/Checking of Attendance/Communicate learning


objectives/review of previous lesson (5 minutes)
2. Activity: they will be shown a video clip depicting the different art forms of the Philippines.(10
minutes)

II. Analysis:
1. presentation/ reporting(20 minutes)

III. Abstraction:
1. Instructional Delivery: Contemporary Philippine Arts of the regions (20 minutes)

IV. Enrichment: Hand outs

V. Evaluation: After class (Summative Assessment) (5 minutes)

VI. Application:

I. Activity
The teacher will present different art forms found in the Philippines
through Video Clips. The students will be asked to describe the
different art forms presented.

After watching the video clip, the teacher will ask the following
questions:

Guide Questions:

1. What is the video all about?


2. What is in the video that you like most?
3. What information you have in mind that you can associate
with the video that you would want to share?
 Base on this activity, can you now guess as to what
would be our topic this morning/afternoon
II. Analysis
The class will be divided into four groups. Each group will be given
topics to present in the class. They will be given 20 minutes for the
preparation and 5 minutes for the presentation (Reporting)
Descriptive Rubric will be used to assess the output of the students.

Groupings:

Group I: Identify the various contemporary art forms and their


practices from regions 1-7.

III. Abstraction
The teacher will ask the following questions based on the activity If the class will run out of time, this
conducted by the different group. part of the topic will continue on the
next meeting
1. How did you find the activity?
2. What are the various contemporary art forms and their
practices from the various regions being presented by
group I & 2?
3. What are the similarities of these art forms among the 17
different Regions in the Philippines?
4. How do they differ from each other?
5. What are the classifications of the different art forms in
the Philippines?
6. Why do we need to learn the different art forms in the
Philippines?
7. As a student, how would you show your
appreciation/interest to the art forms in our country?

The teacher will deepen the topic if necessary.

IV. Enrichment: they will be given hand outs to study in


preparation for the quiz
V. Evaluation:
• Classify the following art forms found in the Philippines as
Painting, Instrument, Dance, Theatrical Performance,
Sculpture, weaving, literary - musical
