1. Where did the musical artist originate?

- Bruno Mars was born on October 8, 1985, in Honolulu, Hawaii. His father is half
Puerto Rican and half Ashkenazi Jewish descent (from Ukraine and Hungary), and is
originally from Brooklyn, New York. His mother emigrated from the Philippines to
Hawaii as a child, and was of Filipino, and some Spanish, ancestry.

2. In which countries did the artist become famous?

- Bruno actually became famous all around the world. He’s a Global Star for his
outstanding music and performance in the music industry. He is well known to the
people no matter where you are regardless if people didn’t recognize him as long as
the people know some of his songs. But Bruno Mars is commonly known to the people
of US, New Zealand, Canada, UK, Australia, Switzerland and many more.

3. How did the artist become famous?


- His singles "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade" topped the charts in the
US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and have been
certified diamond and eight times platinum, respectively, by the RIAA(Recording
Industry Association of America). Mars' second album, Unorthodox Jukebox
(2012), became an international success, reaching number one in the US, Australia,
Canada, Switzerland, and the UK; selling six million copies worldwide. When its
singles "Locked Out of Heaven" and "When I Was Your Man" topped the Billboard
Hot 100, Mars became the second-fastest male artist (behind Elvis Presley) to earn
five number-one singles in the United States.
4. Why do you think the artist became famous?
- Bruno Mars’ song just the way you are peaked at number one on the US
Billboard Hot 100 on 2010. It is because of his unique voice and some catchy at
the same time trendy genres in which many of his songs captured many people all
around the globe. His genre are R&B, funk, pop, soul, reggae, rock, and hip hop.
With also the help of the instrument commonly associated with Mars like the use
of guitar, piano, keyboards and drums that make the best out of Bruno.
5. What is the role of social media or internet in making the musical artist
popular?
- The social media plays an important role in lifting the fame of the
International Star Bruno Mars. It helped him became popular across the globe
through the distribution of his music and albums all around the world through
different countries from various races and nationalities with the use of media
similar to the Internet’s social medias and all sort of medium like the television
with his songs being broadcasted to some music channels.
