Closing Thoughts

Another month full of outstanding work! I was happy to see @OtaKing77077’s Alien film on NG and THE FINAL NAIL IN THE COFFIN has a unique vibe, with a gorgeous sequence at the end.

Give my November music playlist a listen! @PsychoGoldfish deployed some audio upgrades this week to improve the playlist experience.

I didn’t make a Thanksgiving Day post this year because it was right after we found out about the passing of Squize but I want to say that I am thankful for everyone who continues to enjoy Newgrounds, whether you’re sharing your work here or just engaging with the things other people share here.

Whole lotta highlights from November I can see in here. Gonna pick some random winners and focus on those, otherwise I'd be writing this all day:

I genuinely didn't know it was possible to mix the idle and horror genres so well together until Dittrick's "an idle nightmare" pulled it off in spectacular fashion. The sequel is also a damn good idle/horror mashup in its own right - it had zero chance of winning awards due to being A-rated, but ah well.

This was an excellent critique of online fame - from the solidly surreal animation to Packiton's oddly soothing throat-singing.

Brushwork's goddamn masterful on this one, as is the lighting. This feels like something I'd find hanging up in the fucking Louvre.

Congrats to each and every single winner and runner-up - you did some truly brilliant work.

Congratulations to all the winners and to all the game devs in general for another great month of games! This month we had a more modest and manageable amount of games (around 30) so I consider that a bit of a holiday vacation from the huge floods we've been getting lately! Still, there were certainly some excellent games which I've highlighted in my top 10 news post as usual, so check 'em out!

As highlighted above, my top entry for the month was SpellWheel from @adayofjoy, a demo so cool I had to go to Steam and immediately pick up the full version. Here's a link if you're interested!

In other news: it wasn't featured this month but Tidying Up from @Intrapath and @Bleak-Creep just got a new update with its Secrets of the Sewers expansion! It introduces a lot of new and mind-bending puzzle mechanics to rack your brains while still having the cute vibes from before, so if you were a fan of the previous but wanted more challenge like me, be sure to check it out!

Lots of great submissions for November, I really enjoyed watching and viewing these amazing pieces!

I’m also, really happy @OtaKing77077 put that masterpiece of an anime he did, “Alien: Monday”, on Newgrounds!

I watched that many times on another site, and now I can here. That’s even better!

Plus, I rewatch the kitchen scene while I’m eating; It makes me hungry with the black coffee and porridge. (and it’s animated so beautifully!)

The movies category had a ton of great submissions! I was hoping the Loaded Wings would have ended up in the top 5, but it was heated competition.

Also, I really loved the Police Girl artwork by @Speedo.

Awesome expressions and framing of the piece; his style looks so cool.

Still, congrats to all the winners!
