Flippin' Teenagers - Pop Punk

The perfect card for the modern teenage girl.
very Avril Lavigne and a skater girl look, from her striped socks to her fur hooded coat.
I used a Basic Grey scrapbook Paper to compliment the colours and a few velvet flowers.

The back of this one is fabulous the hood really pops out,

I also think that this one looks like most modern teenage girls.

An Elegant Handbag Card

An elegant handbag card, I started with a pink base card a few score lines later I had a basic handbag shape. I then cut out the largest of the QuicKutz Cookie cutter Nesting Label and adhered it to the front of the card.
I used the Flourish Stamp from the Silent Night set by Papertrey Ink I used it with pink ink onto the white flap of the handbag and with white embossing powder onto the pink base card.
I used one of those special buttons I found in the knitting shop slotted a ribbon through the back of it then tied a bow at the back.
If I get enough interest in the handbag I will do a tutorial.

Attention to detail the flowers were white, I painted on the colour using the same pink ink that I had used to stamp the flourish with.

An aerial shot of the handbag.

QuicKutz Nesting Label card

Cuttlebugged card using the distressed stripes A2 folder on the base card some pretty papers down the side edged with Martha Stewart border Punches, shapes are die cut using the QuicKutz Cookie Cutter Nesting Labels (not quite Nestabilities).
The Floral stamp is a Penny Black stamp heat embossed with white detail powder, all wrapped together with a pretty ribbon and a few pearls.

So this is the shapes I used QuickKutz Cookie Cutter Nesting Label

Priced around the £16.99 mark and works in the cuttlebug.

Antique Bronze Pendant

This is the second pendant I have made with the Rubberstamp Tapestry stamps this time it was made with the Poinsettia Wreath Set and Encore Bronze ink pad for the flowers and Versa Color ink pad for the foliage.
the card was cut into an oval then stamped and added to inserted into the pendant, I added the toggle fastener to the chain and a filigree dangle onto the pendant with jump rings. I used Judkins diamond glaze over the top of the stamped image to fill the pendant, once this had dried clear I added a thin line of the same glaze around the image and them dipped into bedazzles for some bling.

Wild Orchids

A Tuesday Lunch time stroll with Jim Harker the artist that I work at La Pashe with.
Jim know me well after 2 years working together. We can often be found talking a stroll around the block on our morning and afternoon break times, it clears our heads and gives our eyes a rest from the close up work that we do.
Tuesday Lunch time we took a short car journey to a spot Jim had found whilst walking his canine friend (Scamp) and had found some wild Orchids.
with camera in hand I managed to capture a few of these beauties to show you all.
I looked up the name of these and they are Dactylorhiza praetermissa - Southern Marsh orchids and are protected so I won't say where we found them, I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as we did in the finding of them.

A close up shot

Unbelieveable that these are growing wild

I flowed more diamond glaze around the frame and added bedazzles to give it some bling.

Happy Fathers Day

A glimmer of hope in the form of a Poppy...
A difficult day for me today and I expect many others too, the first Fathers day without my Dad, Mam is coming for her dinner and then we are going to the Cemetery to visit Dad, I bought some flowers yesterday ready to take along.
Now for the glimmer of hope.... This morning a Poppy has appeared in my garden, the colour of this Poppy is the colour of the flowers I have bought for my Dad.
We also have a gardener coming today to sort out the garden as at the moment it is weed ridden and full of overgrown plants that need to be sorted out, of course he will be instructed to leave this beautiful poppy alone.

Flourished Wedding Card

This wedding card was made using the Flourished background in my previous post below this one.
I stare=ted with a 15 x 15cm white base card printed out the background paper then cut it to 13.5 x 13.5cm, punched the corners with a heart punch and adhered it to the card I used the Nestabilities to cut out the heart shapes 2 aqua and 2 white, embossed the larger white heart with the birds and swirls cuttlebug folder and stamped a Obsession Impression Hear onto the smallest Aqua heart and heat embossed it with white powder.
I layered it all up and added a sheer white ribbon white was given to me by my talented friend Katie.

That time is upon us again "The Wedding Season" so. I've put together a few sheets to help you all out.

Fathers Card

A Birthday card for my Father in law, I have really struggled with Fathers Day coming up this being the first since I lost my dear Dad so I actually bought my Father in Law a card for that, however, it is also his Birthday on Friday so I made him this card and left off the Father wording and that seemed to make it easier for me.
The card was inspired by a photo I took whilst in Appleby Magna (Staffordshire) I love these colours as they are so warming.
The tree stamp is a Graphicus Stamp inked with Close to Cocoa ink then touched with the Inkssentials gel pen to add the highlights, I sponged the edges of the card with the same coloured ink to add depth to the card.

Ohhhh I love this Button, not cheap to buy but hey isn't it gorgeous.

The card was made so I thought I'd carry on the theme to a bag to house some toffees.
The template for the Bag can be bought at The Digichick

Flourished Pearls

Flourished Pearl card...
The base and patterned card I got from a friend at the weekend (Thanks Greta)
I loved the colours, that patterned card has a punched edge I did this with a Kreation Punch then adhered it to the base card.
i punched out some tiny blossoms and dotted the centre of them with a matching coloured pen, glued them in threes down the side of the card then used the Inkssentials opaque gel pen to create a stitched vine effect. The Flourish Stamp was inked in Ocean Tides Palette ink (both from PapertreyInk) and stamped onto white card then little aqua pearls added to the flourish.
Finished with a jewel and some ribbon.

The ribbon is slotted through the back of the glass jewel, actually it isn't a jewel at all it is a button I found in a knitting shop but knew it would be perfect for my ribbons on my cards.

Tear Bear

My first Tear Bear, actually I don't like it but I wanted to give making one a try, he is far too dark as this was the only thick Mulberry paper I could find that would be suitable to make one with.
It was made by drawing round shapes with a wet paintbrush onto the paper then teasing the circle away from the rest of the paper which left the hairy looking edge.
The sentiment is by Stampin Up

More from my Holidays

Another spectacular sunset view.
I think I may need to make a few sheets for you all with some of the scenery pictures.

This is Pam showing how not to use embossing powder.

Dirty girl....

We had a little visitor,, isn't he just gorgeous.

Jean managed to get the little beauty back to the outdoors where it belonged.
I managed to get a shot with wings opened, quite spectacular.

We had a little panic as a friend took ill, the medical service was fabulous and we had soon turned the frightening situation round to having Debs at least giving a few smiles.

What a team...
