Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • ¾ pound ground beef

  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 3 tablespoons sake (Japanese rice wine)

  • 2 tablespoons mirin (Japanese sweet wine)

  • 1 tablespoon white sugar, or more to taste

Directions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir beef until cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes. Add ginger and stir well. Stir soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar into beef mixture; bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute more.
