Ingredients

  • 2 apples, cored and quartered

  • 3 bananas, broken into chunks

  • 1 cup dates, pitted

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1 orange, zested and juiced

  • lemon, zested and juiced

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 2 teaspoons white sugar

  • cup dry red wine

  • 2 tablespoons matzo meal, or as needed

Directions

  1. Blend apples, bananas, dates, walnuts, orange zest and juice, lemon zest and juice, cinnamon, and sugar in a food processor until chunky. Transfer apple mixture to a bowl and stir in wine. Gradually stir matzo meal into apple mixture, adding enough to soak up the wine; chill in refrigerator.

Cook's Note:

Substitute peanuts for walnuts if eating kitniyos.
