This brownie recipe with oil makes the best brownies in the world in my opinion. Try them, I think you'll agree! You can use melted butter instead of vegetable oil if you prefer.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 16 servings

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • ½ cup vegetable oil

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (Optional)

Directions

  1. Gather ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.

  3. Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt together in a separate bowl; gradually stir into egg mixture until well blended. Stir in walnuts.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven until the brownie begins to pull away from the edges of the pan, about 20 to 25 minutes.
