Now, as an actor, his fandom has grown even more. Thanks to his countless roles in fan-favorite movies, like the “Fast & Furious” franchise, “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” and “Moana,” The Rock is known among every generation. No matter when or how you were introduced to him, The Rock has had two defining characteristics that have constantly remained the same: He’s charismatic and incredibly physically fit. The Rock is known for his extensive workout routine and high-caloric diet. Much like fellow actors Jason Momoa and Chris Hemsworth, who have similar “superhero builds” for their roles, The Rock’s day-to-day diet is extra high in protein plus consists of fruits, vegetables, and “fast-acting carbs.” But, despite his physique, he’s not one to cut out foods altogether. We might not be the biggest fans of the word “cheat meal,” but The Rock takes his very seriously. “As you know, my cheat meals are SACRED, so I go all out and savor every single bite,” he once wrote on Instagram. Typically, The Rock reserves his “cheat meals” for the weekends, when he eats things like peanut butter-coconut French toast with whipped cream, pancakes, and sushi—usually paired with a glass of añejo tequila from his brand Teremana if it’s in the evening. However, recently, the actor shared a video of himself indulging in one of his signature “cheat meals” midweek. The Rock's Midnight Snack “It’s Wednesday night and I caught a case. It’s a case that I catch often. It’s a case of the ‘f*** its,’” he said. “You catch the ‘f*** its,’ it’s I’m going to eat whatever I want, drink whatever I want, listen to whatever I want.” This particular midnight case of the “f*** its” meant The Rock was listening to jazz music, drinking (you guessed it) ice-cold Teremana añejo tequila, and eating his favorite plate of sushi with rainbow rolls and salmon nigiri. (Warning: Video contains strong language.) “I know what you’re thinking, ‘Oh, Rock, sushi, that’s not a big cheat meal,’” he said. “Well, hold on, the other side to this meal is still in the fridge, which is a tray of cornbread that I’m gonna smother in peanut butter and honey.” While we never see The Rock pull the cornbread tray out of the fridge, we know cornbread is a frequent addition to his “f*** it” meals. In another Instagram video, he showed off his plate, which featured “homemade cornbread” that he doused in honey and wrote he ate seven pieces of. Having clarified that the cornbread was homemade, we’d imagine The Rock isn’t just using Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix; so, if he’d like to share his recipe that’s so delicious he devours an entire tray in one sitting, we’re all ears. Either way, adding peanut butter and honey to cornbread sounds like a top-notch treat—and one we'll be trying next time we whip up a batch (Jiffy or not). Was this page helpful?
