Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant espresso powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 pinch salt

Directions

  1. Combine heavy cream, cocoa powder, confectioner's sugar, espresso powder, vanilla extract, and salt in a powerful blender such as a Vitamix. Blend for 30 seconds. Chill at least 1 hour to let flavors meld.

    Cook’s Note

    Use a good cocoa powder such as Valrhona®, Ghirardelli® or Guittard® for best flavor.
