Hostess Both Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in children, frail and elderly people, and immunocompromised people. Salmonella infection symptoms include fever and gastric issues such as vomiting, abdominal pain, and vomiting. In rare cases, Salmonella can enter the bloodstream and cause a more severe illness. Listeria infection symptoms include high fever, severe headaches, stiffness and gastric issues such as vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, and the organism can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant people. If you are experiencing severe symptoms of either illness, contact a medical professional. No other Hostess products are affected by this recall, the FDA says. If you've purchased the affected products, dispose of them or return to the place of purchase for a refund. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
