Original recipe (1X) yields 8 servings 1 French baguette, sliced diagonally into 3/4-inch slices 2 to 3 garlic cloves, peeled 1 pinch salt 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes 1 cup cherry tomatoes, assorted colors, quartered 1 (4 ounce) package prosciutto, torn into 1/2-inch pieces 2 to 3 basil leaves, thinly sliced into ribbons Directions Preheat the oven’s broiler to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C), and set a rack 6 inches from the heat source.
