Fournier’s gangrene is a potentially fatal necrotizing fasciitis affecting the perineum and genital area. The usual treatment includes prompt surgical debridement and, in many cases, a diverting colostomy. We present two cases of Fournier’s gangrene that were treated with extensive local debridement and rectal diversion with a new device for faecal matter management, avoiding the need for a colostomy.

Using text analytics technique called “word cloud”, we have analyzed main areas being researched and shown areas that need more focus. Architecture Pedagogy refers to the teaching techniques used in the instruction mode for the subject of Architecture. However the term “pedagogy” itself was coined for small children with an age group much lesser than what is the referential age group for students enrolled for learning Architecture. Perhaps as a fraternity we can switch to “andragogy” which is a recent term referring to the adults and related teaching processes. This study offers a battery BMS design that protects li-ion batteries from overcharging, over-discharging and overheating. We introduce MySong, a system that automatically chooses chords to accompany a vocal melody. A user with no musical experience can create a song with instrumental accompaniment just by singing into a microphone, and can experiment with different styles and chord patterns using interactions designed to be intuitive to non-musicians. We describe the implementation of MySong, which trains a Hidden Markov Model using a music database and uses that model to select chords for new melodies. Model parameters are intuitively exposed to the user. We present results from a study demonstrating that chords assigned to melodies using MySong and chords assigned manually by musicians receive similar subjective ratings. We then present results from a second study showing that thirteen users with no background in music theory are able to rapidly create musical accompaniments using MySong, and that these accompaniments are rated positively by evaluators.

INTRODUCTION The Eight Disciplines (8D) are a problem solving methodology designed to find out the root causes of a problem, devise a short-term fix and implement a long-term solution to prevent recurring problems. When the product is defective, it is clear the customers are not satisfied with the product and service, and then the 8D is an excellent first step to improving Quality and product Reliability (Deepak Dhounchak, 2017). In the production process the 8D methodology is elaborate the team oriented approach to solve the critical problems. The main aim of the 8D methodology is that to find out the root cause of a problem and develop containment actions to protect customers from the problem and takes place the corrective action to protect similar problems comes in the future. The structure, discipline and operations are the main strength of the 8D methodology. The 8D is useable composite methodology utilizing best practices from various existing approaches (Deepak Dhounchak, Lalit Kumar Biban, 2017). The 8D is a problem solving methodology that is determines the systemic change, increasing the quality of an entire process in order to not only avoid the problem at hand, but also other issues that may stem from a systemic failure. The organization which is used this method; Yet, if a customer prescribed problem solving format exists, the industry should be used the prescribed format, which is usually described in company's Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) document (Sharma, C., & Kadyan, S. 2016b). The 8D methodology is also known as G8D, Global 8D, TOPS8D is one of the most widely solution used for solving the problem as a tool related to non-conformities recurrence prevention in the manufacturing process, they commonly used for solving complaints problems through customers as like complaints management in automotive production. For continuous improvement in any industry use the various techniques the 8D methodology is one of complex tool for that. In fact, 8D is a tool for solving comprehensive problems of significant scale, that is, problems, the resolution of which is generally not inside the influence of individuals, or the solution of which requires more time and possible more investment. By contrast, it is currently most commonly used as a tool for handling complaints in the types of the automotive industry, and not just the automotive industry. The 8D method often appears not to be a sufficient tool for solving the problems without using the sufficient data for the implementation of corrective action and decision making in the complaint management (Deepak Dhounchak, Lalit Kumar Biban & Shakti, 2017).

Risks have important impact on aggregate crushing plant in terms of its primary objectives. The record of the aggregate crushing plant is not suitable in terms of managing up with risks in plant. Risk management is a process which consists of identification of risks, assessment with qualitatively and quantitatively, responses with a suitable method for handling risks, and then controls the risks by observing. This study proposes to apply the risk and safety management technique which includes well-documented procedures for the one stop solution all types of hazards most likely to occur during working crushing plant. In crushing plant many risk like as during blasting work, blasting material stocking, equipment and machinery operating and maintenance, etc. And safety hazards are inhalation of fumes smokes and dust in the quarry site cause a lot of diseases to workers, third party, people who live close to quarry sites and the immediate environment. The implication of effective risk management in quarry industry include reduction of injury and health hazards, reduction of the cost of legal claims on the company, employees will not be exposed to unnecessary dangers, will lead to more production and profitability of the plant and will also reduce environmental pollution. Many plants regularly establish a risk and safety management procedure in their projects for improving the performance, minimizing loses of accident and increases the profits with good quality. Study of this paper involves finding of 46 factors which are responsible for risk and safety in aggregate crushing plant. Findings are based on literature review, structured interview with plant experts and current scenario of crushing plant.

Background Pilonidal disease is a common chronic disorder mainly seen in the sacrococcygeal region, especially in young males. Different surgical methods have been described for the treatment. Limberg flap has low morbidity and recurrence rates. Fibrin sealant, a two-component tissue adhesive composed of fibrinogen and thrombin, has been used in a number of surgical procedures to achieve hemostasis and to seal tissues. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of fibrin sealant on the Limberg flap procedure. Methods Between January 2003 and January 2004, 32 male patients with pilonidal disease were randomly assigned to receive the standard Limberg flap technique (n=16) alone or with fibrin sealant application (n=16) before drain insertion. Results The two groups were similar for age and body mass index. The total drainage volume was 64.4±28.0 ml in the control group and 16.2±13.6 ml in the fibrin sealant group (p<0.001). Moreover, hospitalization time was 3.9±0.6 days in the control group and 2.0±0 days in the fibrin sealant group (p<0.001). Conclusions Use of fibrin sealant for Limberg flap technique shortens hospitalization time, reduces drainage volume and is therefore recommended.

The study described the teaching methods used by pre-service teachers in Science. It focused on the strategies, techniques, materials, innovative methods and pattern of teaching science used by the pre-service teachers as described in their lesson plans. The qualitative and quantitative design was used in the study. The books, teacher handouts from classroom lectures were the sources of methods, strategies and techniques. The chalkboard and self-made drawings and charts were the materials often used. Conventional methods like lecture, open class discussion and demonstration were commonly employed. The strategies included group discussion, use of motivating questions and stories to arouse the interest of students. The direct eye contact, body expressions, jokes and news/trivia were frequent techniques. Integration of values in the lesson became less as the year level increases. The pattern of teaching drawn followed the formal style: I Objectives, II Subject matter, III Learning Tasks, IV Synthesis of the lesson, V Assessment and VI Enrichment. The conventional method and pattern of teaching by the pre-service teachers of PSU suggest that students in the College of Teacher Education should be trained to be more innovative and open in trying out more advanced teaching methods. Furthermore, PSU science pre-service teachers should use methods which can develop higher order thinking skills among high school students.

This study is aimed for developing a survey-based mathematical model specifically for measuring the timeliness of handheld applications usage. This study is designed to achieve five major objectives: identifying the elements for measuring timeliness, analyzing contributed factors of timeliness measures, developing a model for measuring timeliness, constructing formulas for measuring timeliness as well as prioritizing the overall timeliness of handheld application usage. As a result, a mathematical model namely Timeliness Measurement Model (TMM) is developed in which outlined thirteen timeliness measures in three different hierarchy levels of metrics, attributes and criterions. This model can be used for analyzing the timeliness of handheld application usage.

Part and parcel of the technological repertoire in wildland fire management, fuel maps invite us to reflect on the everyday life of image production and analysis. I refer to these technologies as image-maps to draw attention to their dual function. As aesthetic objects composed of pixels, these images display vegetation characteristics that are imperceptible without technical mediations (Castro et al. 2020). Yet they are also maps that offer cartographic references to fire managers across different ecosystems around the world. In the Cerrado, a Brazilian savanna where I do research on fire techniques and politics in protected areas, fuel maps are changing how fire is used and how vegetation is perceived. In this essay, I investigate how fuel maps offer a digital milieu for sensing fire by entangling local techniques and geotechnology. Fuel maps are addressed here with a focus on their usage, particularly when viewed in the field through smartphones. Based on my multimodal ethnography, I want to show how these image-maps configure an ecology of techniques by associating objects and actions with fire. My main objective is to investigate the coexistence of local techniques and geotechnologies in a world where savannas and forests are becoming digitized for managing environmental change (Gabrys 2020).

Abstract--- Data mining plays a significant role on human activities and has become an essential component in various fields of human life. It is the knowledge discovery process which analyzes the large volumes of data from various perspectives and summarizes it into useful information. Data mining is greatly inspired by advancements in Statistics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Pattern Recognition and Computation capabilities. In this paper, we have discussed the concept of data mining, its tools and techniques, its applications and advantages/disadvantages from beginning of the term to present scenario.

Through the study of the materiality of three works from collections in Doha, Paris and Amsterdam, this paper intends to fill a gap in the knowledge of découpage calligraphy in Iran and shed light on its production  processes. First, the origins and the context of the art will be explored through ancient and modern sources, followed by an examination of the tools used and the techniques of production, and finally an insight into the purpose or la raison d’être of the découpage technique will be presented.

– This qualitative investigation studies the career of professional pianists and piano teachers. Data were collected from in-depth interview and participant observation of ten professional pianists in Thailand. The investigation is aimed at analyzing the study patterns, learning methods and playing techniques of professional pianists. The results show that piano study patterns of pianists are divided into three types: 1) Formal learning, 2) Informal learning and (3) Non-formal learning or self-instruction. Pianists use a variety of textbooks and other media to supplement their knowledge-bases and some learn by music-related career experiences. There are three ways to develop as a professional pianist in Thailand. Firstly, pianists who begin their musical education at an early age follow the correct procedures and piano-playing principles. Secondly, continuous self-development allows pianists to build upon the knowledge initially transmitted by instructors, imitating their styles and forging an independent identity. Thirdly, a musical routine and repeated practice enables pianists to hone their skills. Their routine must have seven essential compositions. This study also divides pianist playing techniques into three genres: classical piano, contemporary piano and jazz piano.

This thesis is concerned with developing and refining a collection of methods and tools which can be applied to the different steps of the Data Mining process. Data Mining is understood as the analysis of data using sophisticated tools and methods, which include aspects of data representation, data exploration, knowledge discovery, data modelling and data aggregation. Data Mining can be applied in real and complex domains, such as the domain of clinical prognosis, as well as with artificial test, or benchmark data. Medical informatics is a dynamic area where new approaches and techniques are constantly being developed, the objective being to improve current data representation, modelling and aggregation methods to achieve better diagnosis and prognosis. In this work we focus on two medical data domains: prognosis for ICU patients and diagnosis of Sleep Apnea cases, although it is proposed that the techniques have general use for any data domain. A key approach which is used for data processing and representation is that of fuzzy logic techniques. Existing techniques are benchmarked against the data, such as neural networks, tree induction and standard statistical analysis methods such as correlation, principal components and regression models.
We carry out a survey of existing techniques, authors and their approaches, in order to establish their strong and weak points, limitations, and opportunities where improvement may be achieved.
The first major area under consideration is data representation: how to define a unified scheme which encompasses different data types, such as numeric, continuous, ordered categorical, unordered categorical, binary and fuzzy; how to define membership functions; how to measure differences and similarities in the data. This is followed by a comprehensive benchmarking of existing AI and statistical algorithms on a real ICU medical dataset, comparing the ‘Data Mining’ results to methods proposed by the author.
We define  ‘fuzzy covariance’ as a  value which permits the measurement of relation between two fuzzy variables. Previous fuzzy covariance work was limited to the covariance of a fuzzy cluster to its fuzzy prototype [Gustafson79]. More recent authors [Nakamori97][Wangh95][Watada94] have created specialised fuzzy covariance calculations tailored for specific applications. In this work, a general fuzzy covariance algorithm, which measures the fuzzy covariance between two fuzzy variables, has been conceived, developed and tested. The initial work based the Hartigan joining algorithm and fuzzy covariances evolves into and is contrasted with the later work on data and attribute fusion using the WOWA aggregation operator .
‘Aggregation operators’ are considered as a method for modelling data for clinical diagnosis, and use ‘relevance’ and ‘reliability’ meta-data together with grades of membership to enhance the information which the aggregation operator receives in order to model the data. We also make enhancements to the WOWA operator, to enable it to process data with missing values and we develop a novel method for learning the weighting vectors.
