Herbert Jay Solomon (April 16, 1930 – July 1, 2003), known by his stage name Herbie Mann, was an American jazz flautist and important early practitioner of world music. Early in his career, he also played tenor saxophone and clarinet (including bass clarinet), but Mann was among the first jazz musicians to specialize on the flute. His most popular single was "Hijack", which was a Billboard number-one dance hit for three weeks in 1975.
Mann emphasized the groove approach in his music. Mann felt that from his repertoire, the "epitome of a groove record" was Memphis Underground or Push Push, because the "rhythm section locked all in one perception."
Herbie Mann was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Jewish parents, Harry C. Solomon (May 30, 1902 – May 31, 1980), who was of Russian descent, and Ruth Rose Solomon (née Brecher) (July 4, 1905 – November 11, 2004), who was born in Bukovina, Austria-Hungary but immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of 6. Both of his parents were dancers and singers, as well as dance instructors later in life. He attended Lincoln High School in Brighton Beach. His first professional performance was playing the Catskills resorts at age 15. In the 1950s Mann was primarily a bop flutist, playing in combos with artists such as Phil Woods, occasionally playing bass clarinet, tenor saxophone and solo flute.

Glitter is the soundtrack album from the film of the same name, and the eighth studio album by American singer Mariah Carey. It was released on September 11, 2001, by Virgin Records America. The album was a complete musical departure from any of Carey's previous releases, focusing heavily on recreating a 1980s disco era to accompany the film, set in 1983. By covering or heavily sampling several older tunes and songs, Carey created Glitter as an album that would help viewers connect with the film, as well as incorporating newly written ballads. The singer collaborated with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and DJ Clue, who co-produced the album.
Musically, Glitter was structured to be a retro-influenced album and have more of a dance-oriented element. On several songs, critics noted Carey to be more sexually suggestive lyrically than before, in part due to the inclusion of several guest hip hop musicians. Glitter featured several other musical acts such as Eric Benét, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, and Ja Rule. Both the album and its accompanying film were met with generally negative reviews from music critics who felt the album failed in trying to capture a genuine 1980s theme, and there were too many guest appearances. Universally, Glitter was viewed as a commercial and critical failure, leading to Virgin Records cancelling Carey's $100 million five-album contract and dropping her from the label. While it debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200, it was Carey's lowest-first week sales of any album she had ever released. Internationally, it peaked outside the top-ten in many countries, but topped the charts in Japan. Glitter remains one of Carey's lowest selling albums.
"What Would You Do" is the debut single from Death Row Records duo Tha Dogg Pound, released in 1995 as the B-side to the Dr. Dre and Sam Sneed single "U Better Recognize", along with DJ Quik's "Dollaz + Sense." It had appeared on the soundtrack to Murder Was the Case the year before, alongside songs by Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Sam Sneed and other Death Row-affiliated artists. The song also appears on the Natural Born Killers soundtrack, and is the only song from that soundtrack which does not appear in the movie Natural Born Killers. While the notes originally credited solely Daz as producer, Snoop Dogg later revealed that—among other Daz Dillinger tracks—the song was co-produced by Dre. It is considered to be a diss song towards B.G. Knocc Out, Dresta, Eazy-E & Cold 187um. Eazy-E responded with the tracks "Ole School Shit" and his own version of What Would U Do called "Wut Would You Do". B.G. Knocc Out & Dresta responded with "D.P.G./K". Kurupt and Daz's version was performed live at the 1995 Source Awards, and was nominated for a 1995 Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.
Herbie the Love Bug is an anthropomorphic 1963 Volkswagen Beetle, a character that is featured in several Disney motion pictures starting with the 1968 feature film The Love Bug. He has a mind of his own and is capable of driving himself, and is also a serious contender in auto racing competitions. Throughout most of the franchise, Herbie is distinguished by red, white and blue racing stripes from front to back bumper, a racing-style number "53" on the front luggage compartment lid, doors, and engine lid, and a yellow-on-black '63 California license plate with the lettering "OFP 857".
Herbie's origins are firmly established in The Love Bug (1968). He was bought from Peter Thorndyke's showroom by San Francisco socialite Mrs. Van Luit for her upstairs maid, but returned shortly afterwards due to reliability problems, and purchased by race-driver Jim Douglas (Dean Jones), who had earlier stood up for him against the pompous Thorndyke (David Tomlinson). Tennessee Steinmetz (Buddy Hackett), Jim's friend and housemate, names the car "Herbie" after his uncle Herb, a professional boxer whose broken nose greatly resembled the hood of a Volkswagen Beetle.
The Love Bug (1968), sometimes referred to as Herbie the Love Bug, is the first in a series of comedy films made by Walt Disney Productions that starred an anthropomorphic pearl-white, fabric-sunroofed 1963 Volkswagen racing Beetle named Herbie. It was based on the 1961 book Car, Boy, Girl by Gordon Buford.
The movie follows the adventures of Herbie, Herbie's driver, Jim Douglas (Dean Jones), and Jim's love interest, Carole Bennett (Michele Lee). It also features Buddy Hackett as Jim's enlightened, kind-hearted friend, Tennessee Steinmetz, a character who creates "art" from used car parts. English actor David Tomlinson portrays the villainous Peter Thorndyke, owner of an auto showroom and an SCCA national champion who sells Herbie to Jim and eventually becomes Jim's racing rival.

What would you say
If I told you I loved you
What would you do
If I gave it to you
What would you say
If I told you I loved you
What do you do
When I give it to you
Verse One
Love is shared so rare, innocence
It's a blessing to know you
All a woman needs is somebody
To relate to and you fullfill my fantasies
Chorus
What would you say
If I told you I loved you
What would you do
If I gave it to you
What would you say
If I told you I loved you
What do you do
When I give it to you
Verse Two
All alone with you be together
On a matress in my bedroom
You'll only be here a moment my lover
So I'm hoping we can get together real soon

What would you say
If I told you I loved you
What would you do

It's not hard
I know baby, it's heavy
(What would you say)
Hmmm, come here baby
(giggling)
Chorus
What would you say
If I told you I loved you
What would you do
If I gave it to you
What would you say
If I told you I loved you
What do you do
When I give it to you
What would ya what would ya
Told ya told ya
What would ya what would ya
Gave it gave it
What would ya what would ya
Told ya told ya
What would ya what would ya
