Are you searching for a park to walk in in London? London parks are known with the beauty they reflect and the green spaces that allow people to walk through them happily. There are a couple of parks which are more famously known in London than the others and one of them is St. James's Park.
St. James's Park is the oldest Royal Park in London and one of the things that is always making it different is the fact that it is surrounded by three palaces, the most ancient of them is Westminster which has now become the House of Parliament, St. James's Palace and of course the most famously known now which is Buckingham Palace (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z57xeLn1Zaw).
There's a history behind St. James's Park which took its name from a leper hospital that was opened back in the thirteenth century. St. James's Park was once a marshy water-meadow and then later in 1532, it was acquired as a deer park and that was when Henry VIII built the Palace of St. James's. The journey of the park kept going when Elizabeth I came to the throne and for the love that she held for pageantry and pomp, fetes of all kinds were actually held in the park. The successor of Elizabeth I, James I, took over the journey of caring for the park and improved the water drainage and controlled the water supply, and there was also a road built in front of the park. Finally, Charles II made some changes to the park and redesigned it with avenues of trees planted and lawns laid then he opened it for the public and was a regular visitor who came and fed the ducks.
Taking care of this park was in plan for all those who took their roles in London. In the Hanoverian period, Horse Guards Parade was created by filling in one end of the long canal and was used first as a mustering ground and later for parades; the Horse Guards Parade is still held in St. James's Park until this day.
The design of St. James's Parade was changed forever when John Nash came and redesigned it in a more romantic way and look; he transformed the canal into a more natural-looking lake and in 1837 the Ornithological Society of London presented some birds to the park to complete that romantic look and erected a cottage for a bird-keeper, which both remain until this very day.
Being one of the best parks in London, this means that there are things to be seen inside and events to be attended. There are some highlighted places in St. James's Park which one will need to check while walking through the park. There is The Mall which is a grand processional route that has seen innumerable historic Royal processions including coronations, state openings of Parliament and state visits. There is also the Admiralty Arch which was commissioned by King Edward VII as a memorial to his mother Queen Victoria, it stands at the north east end of The Mall.
Inside St. James's Park, there is also the Blue Bridge which offers views across St. James's Park Lake to Buckingham Palace to the west and Horse Guards Parade, Big Ben (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_pETuPDFSM) and the London Eye towards the east (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHtQq7wQTQc). The Horse Guards Parade which is also one of the famous things to be seen in the park is the ceremonial parade ground and is the scene of Trooping the Color on the Queen's official birthday in June.
The Duck Island that is found inside St. James's Park is another important thing that is highlighted in this place and it is a nature reserve for the park's bird collection, it is located on the east end of St. James's Park lake and it is a prove that back in time Charles II used to visit the park in order to feed the ducks.
St. James's Park is not just a walking space in London that one could enjoy a walk through, but it is also considered one touristic attraction that visitors of London come to see for the different statues, memorials and even fountains that it has. Inside the park, there is the Queen Victoria Memorial, the Duke of York Statue, the Guard's Memorial, King George VI Memorial, Queen Mother Memorial, The Tiffany Fountain, National Police Memorial, Captain Cook Statue, South African Royal Artillery Memorial, Boy Statue, Graspan Royal Marines Memorial, Royal Navan Division Memorial and Bali Memorial - there are lots of things to be seen inside this park and the first of them you will even see while visiting Buckingham Palace since it is just in front of it.
London parks are always different and there are many of them scattered all around the city, the most famous one of them for tourists is Hyde Park although there are lots of other ones which might carry the same greenery beauty (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrqdmDsN0gc).
While in London, you could also visit the Tower of London (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OF61fYqrUNM) and the royal Mews (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-p9w_pLR7I).

Newcastle United Football Club is an English professional football club based in Newcastle upon Tyne, that plays in the Premier League which is the top-flight of English football. The club was founded in 1892 by the merger of Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End. The team plays its home matches at St. James' Park. All Premier League clubs have an all-seater stadium, the ground was adjusted in the mid-1990s and currently has a capacity of 52,305.
The club has been a member of the Premier League for all but three years of the competition's history, spending 88 seasons in the top-flight as of July 2020, and have never dropped below English football's second tier since joining the Football League in 1893. Newcastle have won 4 League titles, 6 FA Cups and a Charity Shield, as well as the 1969 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and the 2006 UEFA Intertoto Cup, the ninth highest total of trophies won by an English club. The club's most successful period was between 1904 and 1910, when they won an FA Cup and three of their League titles. Newcastle were relegated in 2009, and again in the 2016 season. The club won promotion at the first time of asking each time, returning to the Premier League, as Championship winners, in 2010 and 2017.
As of the 2019–20 season, Newcastle United have spent 88 seasons in the top-flight. They are eighth in the all-time Premier League table and have the ninth-highest total of major honours won by an English club with 11 wins. The club's top goal scorer is Alan Shearer, who scored 206 goals in all competitions between 1996 and 2006. Andy Cole holds the record for the most goals scored in a season: 41 in the 1993–94 season in the Premier League. Shay Given is the most capped international for the club, with 134 appearances for Republic of Ireland. Alan Shearer returned for one more season in the 2005–06 season. This last season saw him break Jackie Milburn's 49-year-old record of 200 goals for Newcastle United when he netted his 201st strike in a home Premier League fixture against Portsmouth on 4 February 2006, becoming the club's highest-ever league and cup competition goal scorer with 201 goals altogether. On 17 April 2006, Shearer suffered a tear to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee after a collision during a 4–1 win at Sunderland in which he scored his 206th and final goal in what was his 395th appearance for the club.
St James' Park is a football stadium in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is the home of Premier League club Newcastle United F.C. With a seating capacity of 52,305 seats, it is the eighth largest football stadium in England. St James' Park has been the home ground of Newcastle United since 1892 and has been used for football since 1880. Throughout its history, the desire for expansion has caused conflict with local residents and the local council. This has led to proposals to move at least twice in the late 1960s, and a controversial 1995 proposed move to nearby Leazes Park. Reluctance to move has led to the distinctive lop-sided appearance of the present-day stadium's asymmetrical stands. Besides club football, St James' Park has also been used for international football, at the 2012 Olympics, for the rugby league Magic Weekend, rugby union World Cup, Premiership and England Test matches, charity football events, rock concerts, and as a set for film and reality television.

In this jolly spiffing London walk Joolz shows you around the St James Park, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. There is the usual irreverent chat and banter with quips and anecdotes.
Learn all about the invention of champagne, the many fires that burnt down the Palace of Westminster and the pelicans in St James Park.
Joolz Guides is a fun, charming and informative way to see London. Hopefully you will discover lots of things you might have missed by just seeing the main tourist attractions in the area.
