London is a board game by Martin Wallace. Released in 2010, the game requires players to rebuild London after the Great Fire of London up until the start of the 20th century. London is a card-driven game with a board in the form of a map of London. It won a Meeples Choice award in 2010 and was nominated for an International Gamers Award in 2011.
To rebuild London players purchase boroughs on the board and play cards from their deck. The cards represent buildings of economic, political, scientific, and cultural significance throughout the history of the city. This includes general constructions such as bridges, coffee houses, and hospitals, along with famous landmarks such as Woolwich Arsenal, and Tower Bridge. Players must choose which buildings they wish to construct based on the benefits that each card will give them. The management of poverty is central to the game and players can lose a significant number of victory points if they have accrued more poverty points than their opponents.
She has toured internationally with The Weeknd and was also nominated for the Sound of 2014 award by the BBC and an MTV Brand New Nominee in 2014. On May 3, 2014, Banks was dubbed as an "Artist to Watch" by FoxWeekly.
Early life
Jillian Rose Banks was born in Orange County, California. Banks started writing songs at the age of fifteen. She taught herself piano when she received a keyboard from a friend to help her through her parents' divorce. She says she "felt very alone and helpless. I didn't know how to express what I was feeling or who to talk to."
Career
2013–present: Breakthrough and Goddess
Banks used the audio distribution website SoundCloud to put out her music before securing a record deal. Her friend Lily Collins used her contacts to pass along her music to people in the industry; specifically Katy Perry's DJ Yung Skeeter, and she began working with the label Good Years Recordings. Her first official single, called "Before I Ever Met You" was released in February 2013. The song which had been on a private SoundCloud page ended up being played by BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe. Banks released her first EP Fall Over by IAMSOUND Records and Good Years Recordings.Billboard called her a "magnetic writer with songs to obsess over." Banks released her second EP called London by Harvest Records and Good Years Recordings in 2013 to positive reviews from music critics, receiving a 78 from Metacritic. Her song "Waiting Game" from the EP was featured in the 2013 Victoria's Secret holiday commercial.
London and the Thames were named in 1793 by Lord Simcoe, who proposed the site for the capital of Upper Canada. The first European settlement was between 1801 and 1804 by Peter Hagerman. The village was founded in 1826 and incorporated in 1855. Since then, London has grown to be the largest Southwestern Ontario municipality and Canada's 11th largest municipality, having annexed many of the smaller communities that surrounded it.
London is a regional centre of health care and education, being home to the University of Western Ontario, Fanshawe College, and several hospitals. The city hosts a number of musical and artistic exhibits and festivals, which contribute to its tourism industry, but its economic activity is centred on education, medical research, insurance, and information technology. London's university and hospitals are among its top ten employers. London lies at the junction of Highway 401 and 402, connecting it to Toronto, Windsor, and Sarnia. It also has an international airport, train and bus station.

Get a taste of TV history with Twede’s Cafe’s legendary cherry pie and “damn fine” coffee on Goldbelly TV! In 1990, director David Lynch, on a scouting trip for his new ABC TV series, “Twin Peaks,” walked through the front door of Twede’s in North Bend, Washington, and discovered a legend: a place Kyle MacLachlan described on the show as “where pies go when they die.” And this is indeed a great cherry pie: it’s made from scratch with only the best-quality available ingredients, the crust is flaky and buttery, and it envelops perfectly cooked cherries bursting with flavor. This version of Cherry Pie by PSP was created for the singer Sade and it is the first version as created with the bands original drummer Paul Anthony Cooke before Andrew Hale joined the Sade in 1984. This version was the original song that PSP drummer Paul Cooke played with a very jazzy feel. Sade created a more commercial approach to the music and song in 1984 replacing Cookes drums with a drum machine. This version was changed by the band and their new producers in 1984 and an adaptation of the song was made that featured a re-working of the original drum and bass parts.
Helen Fola Sade Adu or Sade as she is known now was originally a fashion designer and had no musical backround at all, she founded a fashion company called Lubell and Adu Ltd but this went bust very early into its launch in 1980. She then auditioned for Pride after she had worked briefly for the earlier band called Ariva a Latin Jazz band from Barnet, London. She was actually rejected by the band Ariva as her vocals were not good enough and she was then asked back by the manager Lee Barrett a few weeks later to get involved with Pride. The singer took her revenge when she formed a smaller band within Pride with PSP that she then called Sade and she was courted by RCA who paid for the bands early recordings of Smooth Operator and Your Love is King and Hang onto Your Love in 1983. In late 1982 Jack Stevens from RCA suggested that Helen Adu be pulled out of Pride and they would commision the recordings. The groups manager chose this option with PSP (Paul Anthony Cooke, Paul Denman on the bass and drums and the bands sax player Stuart Mathewman). RCA actually rejected the singer in 1983 because they had been concentrating on the Eurythmics international launch at that time and they also didnt think much to the bands songs. The manager then found a deal for the singer Sade with CBS Records in October 1983, later in the year, but the company wouldnt sign up the whole band only the singer. Paul Anthony Cooke objected to the new sound and change of the old songs created by the bands new producer Robin Millar and also the fact that the singer signed a solo deal. Paul was asked to leave the band in January 1984 by the manger at the request of Angel Prop Ltd the singers newly formed company that had started to control her music. But Cook rejoined the band in 1984 to perform some promotional TV work for Your Love is King on BBC Top of The Pops and the BBC's Oxford Road Show in Manchester, these were the last shows Paul played with the band.
