London and the Thames were named in 1793 by Lord Simcoe, who proposed the site for the capital of Upper Canada. The first European settlement was between 1801 and 1804 by Peter Hagerman. The village was founded in 1826 and incorporated in 1855. Since then, London has grown to be the largest Southwestern Ontario municipality and Canada's 11th largest municipality, having annexed many of the smaller communities that surrounded it.
London is a regional centre of health care and education, being home to the University of Western Ontario, Fanshawe College, and several hospitals. The city hosts a number of musical and artistic exhibits and festivals, which contribute to its tourism industry, but its economic activity is centred on education, medical research, insurance, and information technology. London's university and hospitals are among its top ten employers. London lies at the junction of Highway 401 and 402, connecting it to Toronto, Windsor, and Sarnia. It also has an international airport, train and bus station.
Canada (i/ˈkænədə/; French: [ka.na.da]) is a country in the northern part of North America. Its ten provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 9.98million square kilometres (3.85million square miles), making it the world's second-largest country by total area and the fourth-largest country by land area. Canada's border with the United States is the world's longest land border. Canada is sparsely populated, the majority of its land territory being dominated by forest and tundra and the Rocky Mountains; about four-fifths of the country's population of 35 million people live near the southern border. The majority of Canada has a cold or severely cold winter climate, but southerly areas are warm in summer.
The land now called Canada has been inhabited for millennia by various Aboriginal peoples. Beginning in the 15th century, British and French colonies were established on the Atlantic coast, with the first establishment of a region called "Canada" occurring in 1537. As a consequence of various conflicts, the United Kingdom gained and lost territories within British North America until left, in the late 18th century, with what mostly geographically comprises Canada today. Pursuant to the British North America Act, on July 1, 1867, the colonies of Canada, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotiajoined to form the autonomous federal Dominion of Canada. This began an accretion of provinces and territories to the self-governing Dominion to the present ten provinces and three territories forming modern Canada. In 1931, Canada achieved near total independence from the United Kingdom with the Statute of Westminster 1931, and full sovereignty was attained when the Canada Act 1982 removed the last remaining ties of legal dependence on the British parliament.
Canada is a 2012 novel by American author Richard Ford. The novel follows 15-year-old Dell Parsons, who must learn to fend for himself after his parents are arrested for robbing a bank. The book also re-visits Great Falls, Montana, a setting that Ford frequently uses in his work.
Plot
After his parents are arrested for robbing a bank, fifteen-year-old Dell Parsons is left to fend for himself. His twin sister Berner has run off, leaving him to a family friend that secrets him away to Saskatchewan, Canada. There Dell is to live with the American Arthur Remlinger, a man with a cool demeanor and a hidden inner violence that threatens Dell's well-being.
Development
The work on Canada took Ford twenty years, with the author stating that he took inspiration from several different sources. Ford stated that some of the elements in the book, such as the feeling of "not [being] connected with the larger forces of a culture I was by accident born into", were drawn from his personal experiences. He also expressed an interest in the aftermath and consequences of crimes such as murder and robberies, and the effect they have on the young family members of the perpetrators, as well as the "closeness to which normal life bears upon felonious life".
Canada was a merchant ship launched at Shields in 1800. She made five trips transporting convicts to Australia. On two of those trips she was also under charter to the British East India Company (EIC). When she was not transporting convicts Canada traded with the West Indies, and with Canada until c.1832.
Voyages
Canada's first voyage took place during the French Revolutionary Wars. Captain William Wilkinson, or her owner, chose to acquire a letter of marque, which was issued to him on 22 April 1801. On Canada's first voyage transporting convicts she was under charter to the EIC.Canada sailed from Spithead on 21 June 1801, with 104 male convicts. She travelled in convoy with Minorca and Nile, and reached Rio de Janeiro on 28 August. All three vessels arrived at Port Jackson on 14 December 1801. Three male and two female convicts died on Canada during the voyage. Canada left Port Jackson on 6 February 1802 bound for China.
Canada arrived at Whampoa on 28 April 1802. On her homeward bound voyage she crossed the Second Bar, which lies about 20 miles before Whampoa, on 22 May. From there she reached Timor on 4 October and St Helena on 22 December. She arrived at Long Reach on 8 March 1803.
The Ontario silver mine is a mine near Park City, Utah. It was purchased by George Hearst through R C Chambers from prospectors for $27,000 in 1872.
Hearst and his business partners James Ben Ali Haggin and Lloyd Tevis owned this mine and constructed the necessary infrastructure to make it productive, including hoists and stamp mill. The mine was not profitable for its first three years. According to legend, expenses of development substantially drained Hearst's financial resources. As a result of his straitened circumstances, Hearst sold his home and horses, and even dismissed his servants and enrolled his son William Randolph Hearst in public school. Chambers, who had been retained as manager, brought the bonanza ore body into production by the late 1870s. It eventually produced fifty million dollars worth of silver and lead.
By the time of Hearst's death in 1891, the Ontario mine had paid him more than $12 million in dividends. This was only one of the four big mines he had brought in in the West, including the Ophir on the Comstock Lode, the Homestake Mine (Nevada), and the Anaconda Copper Mine (Montana). The mine also made manager Chambers one of Utah's Bonanza Kings.
This article contains all the viruses of Ontario family.
Ontario.512 is a computer virus, discovered in July 1990. It is named after its point of isolation, the Canadian province of Ontario. This family of Computer virus consists of Ontario.1024,Ontario.512 and Ontario.2048. Because Ontario.1024 was also discovered in Ontario, it is likely that both viruses originate from within the province. By the Ontario.2048 variant, the author had adopted "Ontario" as the family's name and even included the name "Ontario-3" in the virus code.
Ontario.512
Infection
Ontario.512 is an encrypting DOSfile infector. Upon the execution of an infected .COM, .EXE or .OVL file, Ontario.512 goes memory resident and infects files of these times upon being opened. COMMAND.COM is infected using a special routine. Infected files will increase either 512 bytes (COM files) or between 512 and 1,023 bytes (EXE and OVL files). Some systems with larger file sectors may display increases of greater than 1,023 bytes for infected files of these types.
The County of London was a county of England from 1889 to 1965, corresponding to the area known today as Inner London. It was created as part of the general introduction of elected county government in England, by way of the Local Government Act 1888. The Act created an administrative County of London, which included within its territory the City of London. However, the City of London and the County of London formed separate counties for "non-administrative" purposes. The local authority for the county was the London County Council (LCC), which initially performed only a limited range of functions, but gained further powers during its 76-year existence. The LCC provided very few services within the City of London, where the ancient Corporation monopolised local governance, as it still does. In 1900 the lower-tier civil parishes and district boards were replaced with 28 new metropolitan boroughs. The territory of the county was 74,903 acres (303.12km2) in 1961. During its existence there was a long-term decline in population as more residents moved into the outer suburbs; there were periodic reviews of the local government structures in the greater London area and several failed attempts to expand the boundaries of the county. In 1965, the London Government Act 1963 replaced the county with the much larger Greater London administrative area.
Is this the MOST DEPRESSING city in Canada? Exploring London, Ontario
Harrison Faulkner went to London, Ontario to investigate ground zero of Canada’s “safe supply” drug experiment.
In 2016, London became the first city to have an official safe supply facility. And now, the situation is horrible — boarded up buildings, encampments throughout the city and open drug use.
Are these programs really “saving lives” as we are told by the activists who believe in these programs or is the opposite happening? How bad of a problem is the diversion of these “safe supply” opioids?
Harrison investigates these questions by speaking to local politicians, doctors and residents to find out more.

Spain's Civil War is INSANELY Interesting. Here's Why.
The Spanish Civil War is deserving of a complete history. It's a moment when fascism won and democracy imploded. It was a conflict of ideological extremes: monarchists, nationalists and fascists, supplied by Hitler and Mussolini, who rose up against the 2nd Spanish Republic, a coalition of socialists, communists and anarchists, supported by Stalin’s Soviet Union. But instead of a complete history, for this mini documentary, I give some of the reasons I'm passionate about learning about Spain's Civil War, and I try to infect you with that same passion. Hope it works!

Watch the latest episode of Ratio’d with Harrison Faulkner.

In London - she must bd in London. In London - she must have gone to London. Just two weeks of harmony. Days we spent so easily. In London - she must be in London. Hurry me - we fell in love in London. Our love alive swept in its tide That city wide - London. No street too long our love belonged Along the lanes of London. Those afternoons back in our room Making love until the moon rose over london. She's now alone in London. Where to start - now that I'm in London? Standing here this rainy day So alone and out of place without her. she must be in London. Our love alive swept in its tide
