The 22nd Infantry Division was a German infantry division in World War II.
History
Created as 22. Infanterie-Division in 1935, one regiment participated in the 1939 Invasion of Poland; the rest of the division stayed in garrison on the Siegfried Line in case of a French attack in defense of Poland. The division retrained as 22. Luftlande-Division (Air Landing Division) for rapid tactical deployment to captured enemy airbases and performed in that role during the invasion of the Netherlands suffering heavy losses, and afterward advanced into France operating as ordinary ground infantry. Though planned for use in its air-landing role for the Battle of Crete, it was replaced by another division at the last minute. It joined Army Group South in Operation Barbarossa (1941), attacking from Romania and, operating exclusively as ordinary ground infantry, helped storm Sevastopol in the Crimea (1942).
The unit was thereafter transferred to Crete for garrison duty and mop-up operations in the Aegean, playing a major role in the Battle of Leros. During September 1943, forces of the unit committed numerous atrocities in Viannos. On 26 April 1944 the divisional commander, Generalmajor Heinrich Kreipe, was abducted by a BritishSpecial Operations Executive team led by Major Patrick Leigh Fermor and Capt Bill Stanley Moss. Kreipe's car was ambushed at night on the way from the divisional headquarters at Ano Archanes to the Villa Ariadne at Knossos and he was taken cross-country over the mountains to the south coast where he and his captors were picked up by a British vessel near Rodakino on 14 May. This operation was later portrayed in the book Ill Met by Moonlight (1950) written by Moss based on his wartime diaries, later adapted as a film of the same name.
The Wehrmacht (German pronunciation:[ˈveːɐ̯maxt], lit. "Defence Force") was the unified armed forces of Nazi Germany from 1935 to 1946. It consisted of the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Luftwaffe (air force). The designation Wehrmacht for Nazi Germany's military replaced the previously used term, Reichswehr (1919–35), and constituted the Third Reich’s efforts to rearm the nation to a greater extent than the Treaty of Versailles permitted.
Following Germany’s defeat in the First World War, the country was relegated by the Versailles treaty to a limited army of only 100,000, one barely sufficient for home defense. The Reichswehr, formed under the newly formed Weimar Republic was the precursor to the Wehrmacht. After the Nazi seizure of power, one of Hitler’s most overt and audacious moves was to establish a mighty fighting force (the Wehrmacht), a modern armed forces fully capable of offensive use. Fulfilling the Nazi regime’s long-term goals of regaining lost territory and dominating its neighbors required massive investment and spending on the armaments industry, as well as military conscription to expand Hitler’s fighting machine. In December 1941, Hitler designated himself as commander-in-chief of the Wehrmacht.
Division, in horticulture and gardening, is a method of asexualplant propagation, where the plant (usually an herbaceousperennial) is broken up into two or more parts. Both the root and crown of each part is kept intact. The technique is of ancient origin, and has long been used to propagate bulbs such as garlic and saffron. Division is mainly practiced by gardeners and very small nurseries, as most commercial plant propagation is now done through plant tissue culture.
Division is one of the three main methods used by gardeners to increase stocks of plants (the other two are seed-sowing and cuttings). Division is usually applied to mature perennial plants, but may also be used for shrubs with suckering roots, such as gaultheria, kerria and sarcococca. Annual and biennial plants do not lend themselves to this procedure, as their lifespan is too short.
Most perennials are best divided and replanted every few years to keep them healthy. They may also be divided in order to produce new plants. Those with woody crowns or fleshy roots need to be cut apart, while others can be prized apart using garden forks or hand forks. Each separate section must have both shoots and roots. Division can take place at almost any time of the year, but the best seasons are Autumn and Spring.
In heraldry, the field (background) of a shield can be divided into more than one area, or subdivision, of different tinctures, usually following the lines of one of the ordinaries and carrying its name (e.g. a shield divided in the shape of a chevron is said to be parted "per chevron"). Shields may be divided this way for differencing (to avoid conflict with otherwise similar coats of arms) or for purposes of marshalling (combining two or more coats of arms into one), or simply for style. The lines that divide a shield may not always be straight, and there is a system of terminology for describing patterned lines, which is also shared with the heraldic ordinaries. French heraldry takes a different approach in many cases from the one described in this article.
Common divisions of the field
Common partitions of the field are:
parted (or party) per fess (halved horizontally)
party per pale (halved vertically)
party per bend (diagonally from upper left to lower right)
party per bend sinister (diagonally from upper right to lower left)
Division is 10 Years's fourth studio album and second major label release which was released May 13, 2008. The first single was "Beautiful". It has so far sold over 250,000 copies in the US.
Track listing
Additionally, an acoustic version of "Beautiful" is available for download with purchases through retailer F.Y.E.
10 Years added the second single, So Long, Good-Bye. A rock version was added to their Myspace page which was released on October 7, 2008 and was made available on iTunes on December 16, 2008.
The third single, Actions & Motives, was released as a digital bundle with the song, an acoustic version of "Russian Roulette", and the video Actions & Motives (Promotional Video) [Mono Version] on iTunes on May 26, 2009.

Landing is the last part of a flight, where a flying animal, aircraft, or spacecraft returns to the ground. When the flying object returns to water, the process is called alighting, although it is commonly called "landing," "touchdown" or "splashdown" as well. A normal aircraft flight would include several parts of flight including taxi, takeoff, climb, cruise, descent and landing.
Aircraft
Aircraft usually land at an airport on a firm runway or helicopter landing pad, generally constructed of asphalt concrete, concrete, gravel or grass. Aircraft equipped with pontoons (floatplane) or with a boat hull-shaped fuselage (a flying boat) are able to land on water. Aircraft also sometimes use skis to land on snow or ice.
To land, the airspeed and the rate of descent are reduced such that the object descends at a low enough rate to allow for a gentle touch down. Landing is accomplished by slowing down and descending to the runway. This speed reduction is accomplished by reducing thrust and/or inducing a greater amount of drag using flaps, landing gear or speed brakes. When a fixed-wing aircraft approaches the ground, the pilot will move the control column back to execute a flare or round-out. This increases the angle of attack. Progressive movement of the control column back will allow the aircraft to settle onto the runway at minimum speed, landing on its main wheels first in the case of a tricycle gear aircraft or on all three wheels simultaneously in the case of a conventional landing gear-equipped aircraft, commonly referred to as a "taildragger". This is known as flaring.
A landing is a water terminal for river transport lines, such as for ferries, steamboats or cargo ships.
A notable example is the historic Public Landing on the north bank of the Ohio River in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. In the age of steamboat transport, the public landing was frequently jammed with riverboat traffic with 5,000 arrivals and departures per season.

========= Wehrmacht LYRICS ==========
Pulled into war to serve a vision that’s supposed to last a thousand years
Part of a machine unstoppable, as merciless as tidal waves
Were they the victims of the time, or proud parts of larger goals?
Propaganda of the Reich, masterful machine
Time and again the battle rages on beyond the gates of misery
As casualties rise and millions die around them did they see it all?
Crazy madmen on a leash, or young men who lost their way?
Grand illusions of the Reich may seem real at times
Panzers on a line form the Wehrmacht’s spine
Lethal grand design
What about the men executing orders?
Ad victoriam
Ex machina
Non sibi sed patriae
Pulled into war to serve a vision that just didn’t last a thousand years
Part of a machine, though stoppable, as merciless as tidal waves
========= Historic Fact ==========
Openly ignoring the restrictions of the Treaty of Versailles, in 1935, Hitler formed the new German Wehrmacht, which was made up of the army, the Kriegsmarine and the newly established Luftwaffe. From a force of 100,000 men in 1933, the army increased to 2.6 million in 1936.

========= Wehrmacht LYRICS ==========
========= Historic Fact ==========

Wehren (defender) y Macht (fuerza)
