"Everything that happens is God's will." |
— Nameless in Episode 101 |
Nameless is a secondary character in How to Fight/Viral Hit.
Appearance[]
Nameless is a light skinned, tall man with a small moustache and a beard. His hair is cleanly shaven and he is always seen wearing a navy suit.
Personality[]
Nameless is a serious man who rarely ever smiles. He is professional and cold, reflecting his job as an assassin. He appears to be a religious man, seeing as he attributes Seongjun's death to the will of God. He also seems to have some morals, since he refused to kill Hobin after Seongjun asked if his God would like him to kill an innocent child.
History[]
In his past, Nameless was a member of an elite squadron whose codename was kept secret. Samdak was known as a legend among his squad members, and was one of few people granted a liscence to kill. Nameless looked up to Samdak and wanted to meet him someday. At some point, Nameless joined the New International Branch and began working as an assassin for 244.
Relationships[]
Samdak[]
Nameless knew Samdak from the stories people would tell about him during his soldier days. Although they haven't met before, Nameless respected and looked forward to seeing his skill.[1]
Synopsis[]
Nameless was first introduced at 244's ambush of Seongjun. As Seongjun was defeating his assailants, he asked Nameless if he wanted to fight as well. Nameless told him that 244 would not be meeting him for coffee after all. He then shot him in the chest, claiming his death to be the will of God.[2] When he came back to finish the job, he found Hobin weeping over Seongjun. Nameless prepared to murder them both when Seongjun asked if his God would be okay with him murdering innocent children. Nameless waited until Seongjun died and then called 244 to say that there were no witnesses to his death.[3]
Nameless was later sent to Samdak's house to take his daughter and kill him. When he sees Samdak's determination to dodge the bullet, Nameless grows fearful of him and leaves. Dongseok later asks him why he didn't finish the job, and Nameless explains that he was convinced he would have lost any match with Samdak, even holding a gun.[4]Nameless is later seen with 244, who explains that the overseas branch of the New International Branch will be arriving shortly.[5]
Nameless was sent to the port where Daniel Smith was bringing drugs to prevent Hobin's streaming plans. Samdak appeared and Nameless decided to approach him instead, pointing a gun on him. He has heard much about Samdak in the past, and says it is a shame that he has to die. Nameless shoots and Samdak grabs his arm to redirect the bullet. He manages to wrest the gun away from him before ripping a piece off. Samdak recognizes Nameless as a former member of his squad in the army. Nameless rushes at him with a curved knife, but Samdak flips him over and he lands on his head, knocking him out. He is presumably arrested by the police afterwards.
Fighting Prowess[]
Nameless' ability to fight barehanded has not been shown. However he must have some prowess, more than likely basic military training, as he served in the military and witnessed Samdak in his younger years. He is a professional assassin. He has at least basic knowledge, and good aim with a fire arm.
