Riam (リャム, Riamu^?) was a human from Sorcerion. She joined Ario alongside others to guide the titans away and succeeded, but she perished during the mission.

Appearance

Riam was a lean and short woman. She had big eyes, thin eyebrows and long braided hair with bangs brushed to either side of her face. She wore a female wizard's attire including an ivy cap, a robe held in place by a big ribbon on her chest, and a dress. She also had big round glasses and a wooden staff with a magic stone on it.

Personality

Riam was timid and kind. She was so intimidated by the titans' brutality that she almost puked when Ario told her to proceed with the plan. She called out for a Neo-Human's child when a titan targeted him despite him being a natural enemy.

Plot

Titans vs The Neo-Humans Arc

Riam's neck is slit by a Neo-Human.

Riam is chosen as part of the squad to divert the titans to Neo-Humans' area. She prepares the magic teleportation circle to transport the group. During negotiation, she uses Mind-Calming Magic: Magic Therapy to calm the titans. When Braginte blocks a titan's hit for her, he tells her to use the magic, to which she replies she has been using at full power from the start. However, her magic had no effect because titans are naturally violent.

When she and Ario watch the battle between Braginte and a titan, she is surprised thinking Braginte could hold his own before being frozen in fear of the titans' savagery. She and Ario guide the titans to neo-humans' area, after which the aforementioned titan wants to kill both of them. She uses Gliding Magic: Feather Boots to allow them to outpace the titans and then Adorning Magic: Decoration to disguise themselves as neo-humans. She then mutters in relief that they successfully blended in.

When a titan wants to crush a neo-human's boy, she shouts at him to watch out but is shocked to see he effortlessly dodged it. As the battle between titans and neo-humans rage on, Ario tells Riam to get out only to find a neo-human cut her throat, killing her instantly.

Magical Abilities

• Spellcasting: Riam was capable of casting various spells.
  • Mind-Calming Magic: Magic Therapy: This magic washes away the nervous feelings of those affected. Riam used this to calm the titans, though it did little due to the Titans' nature being fundamentally violent.
  • Gliding Magic: Feather Boots: By creating magical wings around the boots, the speed of those affected by the magic is greatly increased. Riam and Ario used this to outpace the titans chasing them.
  • Adorning Magic: Decoration: This magic creates magical clothes for those affected. Riam used this to disguise Ario and herself as neo-humans. It then faded away after she was murdered by a neo-human.
