Bomberman '94 is a game released to the PC-Engine/Turbografx-16 in 1993 only in Japan but it managed to ported internally as Mega Bomberman for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis in 1994. It stars Bomberman as he bombs his way through mazes, destroying enemies along the way, in order to destroy beacons and collect shards of sacred symbols in order to return them to their shrine. Though the TurboGrafx-16/PC-Engine version was never released outside of Japan at the time, however, it was released internationally as a import for the Wii and Wii U Virtual Console in 2006 and 2014, respectively.

Bomberman '94 was released to the Virtual Console in the US. However, the stage names are in Japanese, as the game is an import. Because it is an import, the game also cost 700 points instead of the usual 600.
