The 2002 Nintendo Power Awards were the 16th annual awards published in the May 2003 issue (Volume 168) after listing the nominees in Volume 166.
Most of the awards went to Metroid Prime, including Game of the Year, but a large number of awards went to Animal Crossing as well. Most of the awards for the GameBoy Advance went to The Legend of Zelda: A Link To the Past/Four Swords.
