V (ヴィ Vi) is a supporting character exclusive to the Nanbaka Web Manga series. He is the coordinator of Building 6.
Appearance[]
V is a handsome young man who is very slim. He has dull skin, short and thin eyebrows, and grey eyes. His appearance is reminiscent of visual kei, with his sharply contrasting black hair with magenta highlights, and makeup consisting of black eye shadow, grey lipstick, grey markings under his eyes, and black fingernails.
In his regular state, his hair is uneven and slightly messy, with a section of his hair falling forward and completely covering his left eye. His visual kei inspiration is further emphasized when he enters his "exploded" state, where his hair colors become inverted, with a majority of his hair turning bright magenta and puffing up wildly.
He wears a modified version of the standard Nanba Prison guard uniform: he has a hat which has a golden trident-fork shaped object sitting on it, two black straps each on different parts of his body including his left arm, both sides of his waist and his thighs and and the lower parts of his legs, pointy black shoes. He wears a tail coat with extremely long tails, that have a red lining on the inside. As a guard of Building 6, he wears a grey armband on his right arm. On his neck, he wears a black choker with a white vampire-like-cross attached to it.
Personality[]
V is overall a polite, respectful and welcoming person to his fellow coworkers and even inmates. Many people have described him as "gothic", and regard him as scary, which leads to the unfortunate situations experienced throughout his life. He is sad to hear it, but he doesn't get angry about it. Because of his troubling past, V has a very strong sense of responsibility over his charges that can sometimes make him obsessive and lose his mind, to the point of burying himself alive.
When he perceives that he has failed his master, such as them suffering even a slight wound, V enters an erratic state that makes him go on a self-hate rampage and attack who ever harmed his master. He thinks he should die for his mistakes and suffer the worst faith ever for the sake of failing is master. After being scolded by Hajime, V is convinced that he should not harm himself for failing his master, but rather his master should be the one to enact punishment upon him. Hence, when he undergoes any kind of pain at the hands of his master that he feels he deserves, he gets extremely excited and asks for even more of it.
Background[]
V was raised in a institution that was making children do labor. There, he underwent a lot of abuse and mistreatment and was given a letter of the alphabet as his name. After a certain incident, all the children at the orphanage were scattered and V lost track of them. Eventually, he got a job as Rock's personal butler. When Rock ran away, V jumped from job to job, until he was employed by Hakushaku. Upon Hakushaku's arrest, V followed him and became a prison guard to watch over him.
