Nanba Prison (南波刑務所 Nanba Keimusho) is a top-security, highly classified prison located on a remote Japanese island. It was created by The World Administration Authority[1].
Nanba Prison is a high-security prison home to some of the most dangerous criminals and talented escape artists. It is characterized by its state-of-the-art, high-tech security systems and an array of talented guards recruited from around the world, giving the prison a reputation as the best in the world.[2] As such, it is believed that not a single inmate has escaped, though there is one known exception who is kept a secret from the public.[3]
Description[]
Nanba Prison is located in a remote, artificial Island in a classified location in Japan. It is a large prison that contains fifteen buildings in total, including headquarters, a general reception area and thirteen buildings for inmate confinement. Upon arrival, inmates are categorized by crime, traits, and abilities and sent to the building with the guards best suited to deal with them. As a result of this system, many buildings contain inmates - and guards with similar traits, and each one has its own methods of educating and rehabilitating the inmates in order for them to rejoin society.[4]
For example, Building Five is "full of prideful guys" and specializes in training and discipline, with a schedule that focuses almost entirely on exercise.[5] Building Three is in charge of education[6] and provides extensive lessons to inmates where they learn, among other things, how to behave with etiquette and receive people as guests with hospitality.[7] Building Four puts emphasis on culture[8] and follows a rigid schedule consisting of a morning assembly followed by strict lessons and workshops. Building Thirteen contains a hoard of talented escape artists and requires the most powerful guards to keep them in line.
The list of buildings and their general descriptions goes as follows:

Building Overviews[]
Building 1 - Industry[]
Supervisor: Tomato Ichijou // Deputy Supervisor: Rorotto
This building specializes in industry, showing an interest in inmates with a talent for engineering, or just the ability to assist the Supervisor's experiments. A lot of the inmates seen here have been sourced from other buildings around Nanba Prison. Machines and robotics play a large role in the building's security and functioning. Inmates from other buildings can visit to get heavy machinery licenses to be used when they are released from prison[9].
The major aesthetic of the building is rabbits, shown in the design of the guards, the robots, and the hutch of rabbits kept on the premises.
Building 2 - Money[]
Supervisor: Taiga Nikaidou // Deputy Supervisor: Kotetsu Nikaidou (Formerly: Mao Nimaijita)
The building of finance is presumably relegated to inmates guilty of money-related crimes, such as the Three-Eyed Cat Brothers (Tora, Hachi, and Mike) who purely targeted banks. Both the guards and the inmates of this building have shown a propensity for being conniving and using dirty tactics to get ahead[10], all while hiding underneath a meek mask. The Supervisor seems to be an exception to this, with his loud and sincere personality[11].
The major aesthetic of the building is felines - mainly regular cats, but the current Supervisor and Deputy Supervisors are both themed after tigers.
Building 3 - Education[]
Supervisor: Kiji Mitsuba // Deputy Supervisor: Ahato
Major aesthetic: beautiful things, in general
Further information to be added
Building 4 - Study[]
Supervisor: Kenshirou Yozakura // Deputy Supervisor:
This building is staffed entirely by intelligent dogs equipped with tags to allow them to talk - save for the Building Supervisor Kenshirou and rookie guard Hitoshi Sugoroku. A unique security measure in this building is the dogs' ability to set up an impenetrable force field when barking at a pitch impossible for people to reach.
Building 5 - Training[]
Building 6 - Terror (Food)[]
Supervisor: Damian // Deputy Supervisor: Haruin
Originally, the Building was meant to be themed after food. But the off-putting appearances of the guards caused misunderstandings amongst the designers, and they created a terrifying building, forever enshrining Building 6's reputation as the Building of Terror. Unconnected to that unfortunate occurrence, the building is also Nanba's only nocturnal building, with the inmates waking at night and sleeping during the day. Due to this, they don't usually participate in the New Year's Tournament.
Despite these factors, the building also makes an effort to be social. An annual food-tasting event takes place here every year, with guards and inmates alike from other buildings invited to join. They also allow inmates the training to gain chef licenses, so that they may have a job upon being released from prison.
The major aesthetic here is a Halloween theme, and general gothic, vampire-style imagery.
