30K2000[2] is a former Fish who was genetically engineered by High Evolutionary, becoming one of the Star Children. During their captivity, she chose her own name as Latti. She and the other children befriended Drax, who, along with the Guardians of the Galaxy, saved all the captured children and brought them to Knowhere.
Biography[]
Experimentation[]
As a fish, 30K2000 was taken from her home world and experimented on by the High Evolutionary, who turned her into a Star Child. The Star Child, who named herself Latti, was then put in a cage with the others like her at Arête Laboratories and kept in the dark, where the Star Children developed a close bond with each other.[2]
Freed[]
Latti maintained in her cage until Drax the Destroyer, Nebula and Mantis suddenly arrived on board Arête Laboratories. Latti and the other Star Children crowded the Guardians of the Galaxy, happy to have company. However, they were yelled at by High Evolutionary, who told them to get back in their cages. Latti then watched as the Guardians tried to figure out what to do. Nebula then walked over to latti, demanding to have her tell the others to stay away from the walls. However, Latti did not understand, frustrating Nebula.
Nebula then lashed out, yelling at Latti now to tell the others. Meanhwile, Mantis tried to use hand signals to show what yo do, annoying Nebula and causing an argument between the two, prompting the children to start crying. As Latti yelled at Nebula, Drax calmed them down and leaned down to Latti's level, saying how he had a child like her once. He then started doing what he thought were monkey noises, which delighted Latti and the children.
Drax then spoke in Orbese at them, which was something Latti could understand and realize what she needed to do. Latti then directed everyone to get away from the starboard wall until Drax returned, saying hello. He then let everyone out of their cages and directed them to the ship. As everyone left, Latti helped by directing everyone as well. She then locked eyes with Groot, who was doing the same and she smiled at him.
Now safe on Knowhere, Latti and the Star Children settled down there. Rocket Raccoon then started playing Dog Days Are Over, which Latti and the children danced to.[1]
