A frenetic postapocalyptic roadtrip whose elements could have been cherry-picked from a word cloud of things I thought were rad at age 9--monster truck, muscle car, spikes, guitar, crossbow, flamethrower, knives, chainsaw, flaregun, etc--all shot like a Technicolor Munsters episode. Hardy makes a fine Mad One while Charlize goes BEYOND Beyond Thunderdome reaching peak level badass. George Miller delivered a legacy sequel to his original Ozploitation masterwork that goes for the throat and never let's go with some incredible stunts and inventive action sequences.
