It almost feels redundant to say how good this movie is. With its beautiful animation, fantastic coming of age story set to the formula of a Spider-Man origin story, and voice acting full of talented people that feel clearly chosen for their talent other than their name and fame, it's far from difficult to see why so many adore this film. I fell in love with the environment this creates immediately, and I'm not exaggerating when I say Jake, Shameik, and Hailee are three of my favorite comic book castings (with portails I honestly prefer to Tobey, Tom, and Andrew's). This film is a spectacle, and not just on a visual level, but on a storytelling manner. It had me cheering and crying more than any other superhero movie (well, maybe Logan made me cry more, but second most there).
For the people sick of superhero movies and the people that love them, I cannot recommend this enough. It's s refreshing and creative take on something we're likely all familiar with to some degree, and does so much more with it than any other film like it. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a comic book come to life, and is already a classic to me.
