Probably one of the greatest movie experiences I’ve had at a cinema. I’m currently sweating like crazy, this movie blew my away.. almost literally.. the sound design and score are out of this world, I don’t think witnessed anything like this before. The performances were insane and I honestly think this is Nolan’s finest work. You can say what you like about his style and direction but very few directors working today can make movies as immersive as him. Every technical aspect was brilliant with an exception for some shoddy editing in the first half. The pacing was electric, almost hypnotic and makes this behemoth of a picture fly by, it’s like watching the opening of The Dark Knight Rises for three hours that’s how insane the pacing is. The cinematography is ridiculous and it looks so good and certain sequences are so amazing I’m not sure I’m able to justify them with words. Definitely a movie were subtitles are needed though and I definitely need to rewatch it.. But this is Christopher Nolan at his best.
Overall,
Nolan makes some of the most immersive films ever and this might be his magnum opus. Everything is almost perfectly structured and the cast, the practical effects and especially the score and sound design are some of the best of all time, I confidently give this a 5/5, what an awesome experience this is and for the love of god watch this on the biggest screen available.
