lydia’s review published on Letterboxd:
Oppenheimer is an unparalleled monumental achievement for Christopher Nolan and for all the cast and crew. It was the most profound and compelling glimpse into history that truly reshaped our world. The story is thematically resonant with in depth dialogue that added authenticity to the events. This is indeed Cillian Murphy’s best performance on screen. Embodying such a complex role was extremely vital to the character’s emotions of anguish, guilt and frustration. The story flowed seamlessly through Nolan’s ability to encompass pivotal events of Oppenheimer’s prominent life.
Thunderous sound vibrated our seats as my chest was clutched with intense anxiety all throughout the Trinity test sequence. The score by Ludwig Göransson is haunting to the senses that will leave you in chills and heightened anxiety. Nightmares are fuelled with even more anxiety as the conclusion to the story arrives with deadly destruction and power of our World leaders. Christopher Nolan has truly brought cinema back.
