More weird than scary… I had some high hopes for this . I’m not really disappointed just felt like “eh” walking out of the theater. Some praises I can give is ,the acting performances are great. The mood , atmosphere, weather and cinematography are top notch! I was really digging the first hour or so.
Some negatives . I feel they caught long legs very easily and once she had a picture of him we jump cut and the police got him? I just wish we could’ve seen the actual process of tracking him down at the bus stop. Also initially I liked how they didn’t show Nick Cage’s face or they only showed it for seconds at a time. But in the middle of the movie they just gave up and we saw his whole face . Honestly typing this out , this is a total nitpick but just my honest thoughts. Lastly I felt like the 3rd act was very flat and I don’t understand why Detective Lee Harker just stood there letting the wife get killed ?
