Funniest movie breakfast I’ve seen in years. It just kept GOING. Need a spinoff/prequel just about the mountain couple STAT.
As always, Kyle Gallner supremacy 🙇🏻♀️

June Squibb now tied with Tom Cruise as my favorite action star.
OH MY GOD WHAT A DELIGHT!!! Can’t think of the last time I had a smile on my face the entire runtime of a movie. A treasure! The way Margolin shoots scenes of Thelma doing things that are difficult for old people (walking on gravely dirt, going up stairs, moving through a crowded antique shop) like tense action scenes… THRILLING. And the M:I-style score is perfection. It’s also…
Classic mid tier romcom goodness!!! Movies are back, baby!
Main takeaways:
- Her parents need to be tried for war crimes.
- The two of them cost the city of Sydney SO MUCH in taxpayer dollars?!???
- “Nobody’s 29.”
- Pete I am in love with you and the way you speak to koalas.
The muscle growth foley in this is so brilliantly upsetting. Kudos to the hair team for Ed Harris’s wig. Stewart hot and stellar as ever.
Saw this in the theater with my mom, who grew up exactly when and where this was set, and she kept letting out little “Ooh! Ooh!” sounds of recognition and delight.
This just captures so much of girlhood in such a marvelous way. Grew up with the book, and I’m so glad Judy Blume allowed this adaption to be made, but only after making SURE it was in the right hands. And boy, was it! Warm, real, affirming, funny, fantastic. Rachel McAdams an absolute treat as always. Looking forward to following Abby Ryder Fortson’s career!
Genuinely a feminist masterpiece and I know I’m high from leaving the theater with my besties but maybe one of the best movies I’ve ever seen??? Just a perfect film???? What the fuck Greta. You DID IT, BARBIE!
Extremely funny— my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing. The production design made me cheer and gasp. Robbie’s best ever. And Ryan Gosling… sweetie, Ken, my beloved… BE IN MORE COMEDIES!!!!
Round three. I took what I thought was a “make life a little sparkly” amount of shrooms before, but it turned out to be more of a Salvador Dali situation, which means on the beach Tashi looked like an actual mermaid and in The Scene it looked like they were all GENUINELY MERGING INTO ONE PERSON.
Wouldn’t recommend taking shrooms before this one, not sure why I did, and yet… FIVE STARS!!!!
Round two. Really appreciated Art & Patrick’s synchronized movements this time. They’re meant to be together!!!
Love that Potion Seller wrote a combination of 7 DAYS IN HELL and DESIGN FOR LIVING and it’s so fucking good all I wanna do is blast the score while getting smacked on the ass with a tennis racket.
