Kraven the Hunter 2024

Kraven the Hunter is in no way a good movie. The characters are confusing and the plot is an incomprehensible mess. The dialogue is 90% exposition coupled with terrible delivery, ranging from bad to hilariously bad. There are some cool action sequences, but that is really the film’s only merit. This is an incompetent movie.
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim 2024

This is a great addition to the Lord of the Rings franchise. The animation is well done and there are a lot of thrilling action sequences, as well as some nice easter eggs and references. The characters and plot are familiar for the genre, but they work well here due to the solid execution. The second act drags at times, but overall this is an exciting new adventure in Middle-earth.

This movie is a great continuation of the recent Planet of the Apes trilogy. It’s filled with interesting, complex characters and features impressive visual effects. The film lacks the emotional weight that Caesar provided in the previous trilogy, but it incorporates his legacy into this new time period in compelling ways. The plot uses the audience’s knowledge of the past to construct intrigue and create uncertainty regarding certain characters’ goals and motivations. The first half has some pacing issues and a couple of scenes feel a little clunky in their execution, but overall this is a very good entry in the franchise.

This movie is an incredible cinematic achievement. It is a near perfect follow up to the first film. The level of production is obviously of the highest caliber, with stunning cinematography and painstaking attention to detail apparent in every aspect and in every frame of the film.
