This is a great addition to the Lord of the Rings franchise. The animation is well done and there are a lot of thrilling action sequences, as well as some nice easter eggs and references. The characters and plot are familiar for the genre, but they work well here due to the solid execution. The second act drags at times, but overall this is a fun new adventure in Middle-earth.
