Not so great when I catch a blatant continuity error 10 minutes into the film.
Borderline extraneous elements like the creepy townsfolk withdrew tension from the actual danger in the circumstances. It inexplicably suggests a larger conspiracy without any payoff.
The story promises something more invigorating but lulls throughout without generating thrills. And not enough characterization to add any personal investment.
The location was well defined, the backwoods cabin was realistic in its worn down condition and cramped geography.
Some of the cinematography is pretty good. But the pacing is like watching a dripping faucet. We exchange genuine horror for LOUD NOISES.
All things considered, it has a certain cheesiness that isn’t too unbearable.

Having watched the prior two installments this last week I got a good chuckle out of the line:
“No, we already told you there is no Tamara here.”
