This movie is the perfect definition of it’s so bad it’s good. Like a guilty pleasure movie where you watch it with someone or a group of mates and just rip the characters to shreds for their awful decision making skills and stupid moments. It went for a completely suspenseful horror induced vibe, yet I genuinely believe this movie to be a comedy. I found myself laughing and facepalming way more than feeling any kind of real tension and I wasn’t the only one as the whole cinema collectively sighed and groaned when the two leads continued to entertain us for all the wrong reasons.
An unintentionally humorous film that serves as eye candy for men and women alike and incredibly sparse in violence and horror overall. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the ‘to be continued’ text appear at the beginning of the end credits screen, to find out that we are in fact due to get two more additions of this. Wasted potential and stereotypical horror tropes, including clumsy brainless characters and an opening kill that served no purpose or relevance - but I’ll be damned if I didn’t have a good time, except it’s not good!
