I’m intrigued… I’ll watch the rest of the parts if they get released. This film has the usual problems of characters acting in almost alien ways… who takes a shower when they’re trapped alone in a strange home hearing noises and suspecting intruders? Why do the masked villains relent in their attack only to amp it up suddenly without reason? The beginning facts about violent crime that appear on screen feel disconnected from the proceedings shown. However, it’s a fair bit more suspenseful than what I remember from the original, the masks are still creepy as hell, and the townsfolk gave me a few chuckles. I didn’t hate the leads, either.
