The Barrier Breaker (結界破り,Kekkai Yaburi) is a powerful magic item developed by the Devil King's Army for breaking magical barriers.[1]
Overview[]
Originally used exclusively by the Devil Tribe, the Barrier Breaker can shatter magical barriers in its close vicinity once activated, with the more powerful ones carried by the Devil King's Generals said to be capable of taking out even magical barriers erected by the gods. Against barriers that are non-magical in nature, however, this magic item has no effect.
Following Sylvia's demise, the one she had used for her unsuccessful attempt to open the door of the underground storehouse in the Crimson Demon Village was picked up by the Crimson Demons, who reverse engineered and manufactured it as a product put up for sale. One of these Barrier Breakers purchased by some noble was subsequently "borrowed" by Chris during her string of thefts targeting nobles' residences at the Royal Capital, which allowed her to bypass magical barriers as strong as the one erected within the Royal Castle.[2]
