Kaleena Page was a witch who married a Muggle man named Gorman Page and had three children. They had a daughter, Esme and two sons, a Squib, Reggie and a younger son and wizard, Daniel.[1]

Biography[]

At some point during his childhood, his mother used to sing the Mooncalf lullaby to Daniel while putting him to bed.[2]

The Bloody Pages

A Muggle newspaper reporting the arrest of her family

Her husband, Gorman, was involved in illicit activities and involved their elder son, Reggie, in them. They were eventually caught by Muggle police, and she attempted to use her magic to help them escape. However, in doing so, she frightened the police and violated the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy.[1]

Despite her efforts, her husband and son were imprisoned in a Muggle facility. Due to her violation of wizarding law, she was arrested by the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. During her trial in a wizarding court, she was accused of being a member of the Nocturnal Order of Tricks and Magical Exhibitions (NOTME) and was sentenced to Azkaban.[1]

It remained unclear whether she was truly involved with the organisation, as anyone who openly used magic was automatically suspected of being associated with them. The incident was reported in a Muggle newspaper under the headline "The Bloody Pages". Daniel, her youngest son, was placed under the guardianship of their daughter Esme. While Esme viewed both of their parents as criminals, Daniel believed his mother's imprisonment was unjust and grew to see the Statute of Secrecy as a senseless law.[1]

In 2012, the leader of NOTME, Elliot Evers, used the Skeleton Key to help Kaleena escape from Azkaban. Together, they faked Kaleena’s death. Elliot then brought her to the Shrieking Shack, where they were joined by Daniel, who had also been invited by Elliot. When mother and son reunited, Kaleena promised that the family would be reunited once more.[3]
