- "I still believe in you, Daniel. I see us doing great things together… in my new order."
- — Elliot Evers to Daniel Page[src]
Elliot Evers, later known as Lord Evermore, was a wizard who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 21st century. He was one of the members of the Nocturnal Order of Tricks and Magical Exhibitions.[1]
Biography[]
Hogwarts years (2004–2011)[]
- "I and six other Hogwarts alumni make up the Nocturnal Order of Tricks and Magical Exhibitions. Exposing Muggles to magic has been a team effort from the start."
- — Elliot Evers to Daniel Page[src]
Elliot attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 2004 to 2011 and was sorted into Gryffindor. He was proficient in Quidditch and had won many trophies.[5] He had also been to Headmistress McGonagall's office many times in his seven years.[1]
At some point during these years, he founded or joined the Nocturnal Order of Tricks and Magical Exhibitions, or NOTME, along with six Hogwarts alumni, and they worked together to try to expose the wizarding world to Muggles. They also stole a Skeleton Key from Victor Gridley, a master criminal, who resented the organisation ever since.[1]
Seventh year[]
In his seventh year, Elliot was attracted to a fireworks display in Hogsmeade, which resembled what NOTME normally did. When he spotted three Hogwarts students nearby, he duelled them. Later in the school year, he rescued the three students, Daniel Page, Ivy Warrington and another student, from some Acromantulas in the Forbidden Forest. He visited the students in the Hospital Wing and shared an instructive conversation with them. He became good friends with Daniel and taught him some advanced defensive and offensive spells.[1]
Feeling that Linderina Crane should pay for all the trouble she had caused in the school, Elliot put a Boggart in Professor Longbottom's storeroom and told her that Longbottom was hiding something in it, and later came to watch when Crane was investigating the room. He joined the three students there and witnessed Crane failing to capture the Boggart, which had assumed the form of a masked wizard from NOTME. He encouraged Daniel to "act the hero" by saving Crane and left.[1]
Later when Ivy and the other student were trying to find Daniel, Elliot, who thought he needed to be alone, refused to let them see him and had a duel with them, but eventually lost and couldn't stop the two from finding him. After Daniel's family's criminal history had been exposed by Rita Skeeter, he defended Daniel from two bullies on the Quidditch pitch, using the same spell that had appeared in Hogsmeade, which led Daniel to suspect he was affiliated with NOTME.[1]
Later in Professor Longbottom's storeroom, he confirmed Daniel's suspicion, and revealed the origin of NOTME. In exchange for giving Daniel the Skeleton Key that he was supposed to return to Victor Gridley, Elliot wanted Daniel to join him, but pointed out that even if he did, he would not give Daniel the key before Gridley made his move. However, Daniel took the key from Elliot's Quidditch chest when he wasn't around.[1]
After Daniel and his friends rescued his sister Esme from Victor Gridley, Elliot visited them in St Mungo's where Esme was being taken care of, and asked for the key to be returned to him, which he successfully got since Daniel had never wanted the key in his possession. Daniel agreed to join Elliot but put forward some terms, including them being equals and no more lies.[1]
At some point in the school year, NOTME organised a Dark creature attack on Hogwarts Castle, which they, including Elliot,[6] watched from afar. They didn't succeed, however, and it's unknown if the Ministry ever identified them to be the perpetrators.[7]
Daniel's task[]
At some point in the 2011–2012 school year, Daniel sneaked into the Astronomy Tower to meet Elliot, who was somehow able to sneak into Hogwarts. Elliot noticed Daniel's sad face, and accurately guessed that he was not chosen into the Intercontinental Wizard's Cup team. This, however, satisfied him, for Daniel would not be much of a distraction and it would be easier for him to do a task.[8]
Behind the scenes[]
- Elliot is voiced by American actor David Errigo Jr.[9]
- In the trailer and opening scene of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, the player character wears the same clothes as Elliot and has brown hair and blue eyes.[10][11]
