Game Modes are options that allow the player to customize the game difficulty. There are 6 Game Modes in total.

Note: Most Achievements are disabled in all "Creative" and "Custom" modes.[1]

Whoa!
"The most punishing way to live the tiny life. Bugs are tougher, vitals are harder to keep filled, and everything breaks faster."

No Bugs
"Zero stress! Craft and explore with no resource management or existential threats. Insects will not be present in the yard."

All quests and survival elements have been disabled, and all crafting recipes are unlocked and free to craft.

Recipes that normally require a crafting station will retain that requirement as well as any crafting times.

With Bugs
"Zero stress! Craft and explore with no resource management or existential threats. Insects will be present but not aggressive towards players."

All quests and survival elements have been disabled, and all crafting recipes are unlocked and free to craft. Every creature will ignore the player except for bosses, though they still cannot damage the player.

All Game Settings can be customized or toggled at any time except for:

  • All Recipes Unlocked
  • All Recipes Free
  • Bugs Spawn
  • Quests
  • All Mutations Unlocked
  • Fully Yoked
Disabling "Quests" or "Bugs Spawn" will force "All Recipes Unlocked" and "All Recipes Free" to be enabled.

Notes[]

  1. Not all achievements are unobtainable in Custom Mode. For example, the Underexposed achievement can still be earned. Which achievements can and cannot be earned has yet to be thoroughly tested.
