Overdue for a Job is the tenth episode of the second season of Empty Nest and the thirty-second episode overall. Directed by Steve Zuckerman and written by Rob LaZebnik and David Sack, it premiered on NBC-TV on December 9th, 1989.
Harry wants Carol to figure out why she keeps quitting jobs, and Barbara is dubious about Carol's chances of keeping her current job at a university library -- especially after Carol has an encounter with an obnoxious professor. Charley joins the Big Buddy Society to try and pick up women. Barbara tries to teach Dreyfuss to play Frisbee.
